Yes, the weight of the train would crush the poor little guy. But those ribs are supporting it?

I've had about thirty five years of doing wreck photography for the NCSHP and it's not uncommon at all to find dead victims with no apparent injuries. Also if death is instant then there will be very little blood from otherwise horrendous injuries.

This may be true for people but I cannot believe a locomotive can land on an elephant and show no external damage.

true dat...the weight of the engine would crush the elephant...and no one has explained what put the engine on top of the elephant.

Sorry, this is late, but looking at the center of gravity of the engine most of the loco weight is on the left wheels which are out of sight on the right side of the foto. The weight on the elephant is greatly reduced relative to the total weight of the loco. Looks ligit to me.

That is how it looks to me also. The engine is leaning to the left.
