My heart is heavy with this news John. Your kindness is something I always looked forward to experiencing and reading here on UHH. There's so much attacking and hatred going on in the world today, but never a harsh word from my good friend John Lawrence. Your such an inspiration and blessing with your attitude. I try to emulate some of that in my life. Personally a photo's taken date means nothing to me, so if you are feeling up to posting old stuff, by all means do. I'm going through some health issues myself. I have a progressive lung disease. Doctors want me on oxygen but I'm resisting. I haven't been able to go out and capture the things I once could. I understand John. It's hard when we can't get out and enjoy our photography hobby like we once could. I'm going to keep watching for you anyway. Your always going to be in my thoughts and in my heart.

James, I’m so glad to hear from you. You were one of my first photo buddies when I joined UHH and remain one of the closest. You’ve also served as an inspiration to me with your positive attitude and kind demeanor. You and your lovely wife have faced great sorrow in your life but continue to show a smiling face to the world. I’ve also enjoyed your photography, especially the shows and concerts. My only regret is that we don’t live closer. We’d be pals for life. Wishing you good health and happiness.

Friends Forever,

John

To All My Friends On UHH,

I purchased my first digital camera after I retired and established a happy and healthy routine of daily walks with my camera. I joined UHH seven years ago to share a few of my images and meet new friends. The photo gallery has met my needs perfectly and I’ve been very happy here ever since.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve faced numerous medical challenges that have diminished my mobility. I’ve now reached the point where I can no longer take my daily walks with my camera. I’ve given thought to posting from my archives but realize the main purpose and pleasure of my photography is my walks.

With deep regret, I’ve decided to withdraw from UHH. Any passive involvement would change a once happy experience to a sad one. My deepest thanks to all my friends who have brought me so much happiness. A special thanks to Linda, Carla, Sylvia, MT, Jim, Mike, James, John, Ernesto, AP and Randy.

Your Photo Buddy,

John

That picture is fantastic. Even though I don't know you well I will wish you the best of luck on the journey you will be taking. Hopefully you can find a new passion within your limitations.

Thank you very much for your kind comment, Jill. I appreciate it. I’m from New England and enjoy taking pictures of old churches and cemeteries. This one is close to home so I tend to go back there quite a bit. It’s always a little different based on the time of year, weather, time of day, lighting, etc. Wishing you all the best.

Thank you very much for your touching words, Chuy. Your unconditional love for animals and your efforts to help them has always given you a special place in my heart. I still have a picture of you and your adopted ducklings on my desk to remind me of the importance of helping others. God bless you, Chuy. You’re a wonderful man

With Love,

John.

My condition is progressive so my choice isn’t really optional.

If you still, or have some one who can drive, there is no reason to stop shooting. Many of my pics, These for instance, were taken, from the car

I'm rather new here in UHH and have not really known much about the members. I find it sad to be acquainted with goodbye. We all have our own paths to follow and though our paths will cross this once, take my goodwill with you & may you be blessed the rest of your way.

Fare well...
