Thanks for info on MPB. Interesting you mentioned shipping, I have found there are a lot more shipping issues going on since COVID-19. I have had a couple packages go to the wrong address and I have received a couple that were not mine. We have a neighborhood site and people are looking for packages all the time.

Every once in awhile we hear from someone wondering about purchasing used equipment, where to buy it etc. And just as often we hear from folks that have had a terrible experience with a shipper. Over the past few months I have dealt with an outfit called MPB. I sold them a camera and just recently traded a lens for an updated model. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. Their payouts are a tad higher than most and they pay promptly. The lens I traded for is just as advertised: like new. They have a really neat way of doing business via internet and traditional shipping, which is via FedEx. I have no complaints about FedEx either. Package arrived on time, which, by the way was fast. All in all, my most recent dealings with both company's rate an A+

I have had a good experience with MPB. However, I can't say the same for Fedex. They missed the trade-in pick up by two days, and the delivery day by two days. This meant I had to sit for a total of four days waiting for them. Not at all pleased with Fedex, but would recommend MPB.

Another vote for MPB here. Bought and sold twice each with nothing but good results. I wish the return period was a little longer but it’s adequate. I join those who have no issues with FedEx, but have heard a few “not so positive” stories from others. Actually, in my area (north of Denver and east of Boulder), all carriers with exception of OnTrac deserve praise.

Thanks for that evaluation. I am considering selling them a camera and some lenses.

I am considering that also-I add my "Thanks."

Nice to hear about MPB. I'll check it out sometime. But I think the shipping issues vary by our locations. When I lived in Pomona, CA, USP was terrible and the USPS was great. FedEx and DHL were good, no issues. Now that we moved to Grover Beach, CA (San Luis Obispo Co.): UPS, FedEx, and DHL seem so far to be fine, and now we have problems with packages via the USPS. It could be due to attitude changes do to COVID-19 or I don't know what. Somedays mail is delayed a day, delivered to our mail drop box but listed as left at the door, and worst yet, two packages have been arrived damaged! Luckily not Photo Equipment but music CDs. Last Wednesday we received a CD that was totally destroyed! It seems to have been driven over with a a tire mark on the packaged. The jewel box was ground to pieces and the disk scratch up so it will not play properly. And of course the sender only had one copy and it was signed and stupidly sent Media Mail Rate (no Insurance or Tracking). I never use Media mail.

The top part of the jewel box was completely pulverized with little to photograph!

Dear Tin, I had a similar experience with MPB. I think they are terrific and pay more than B&H for used equipment. They are smart, responsive and very honorable.

To whistle, I have only dealt with MPB one time, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Fedex, well they seem to have it together, too.

Honest, I wrote Tinwhistle. I really get annoyed with this AI BS. By the way, it did it again. This time, I caught it.
