Great shot, Brent. Looks like she has the situation under control. Dad is now the photographer.

Here is a photo I took of my daughter Rock climbing in Yosemite. I taught her and her sister how to climb and they are superior climbers to me now.
It looks best in download mode.

All I can say is excellent in all ways

Ok Brent, where were you when this was taken? It looks like she is up pretty high. Were you flying? Fess up.
This is a great photo. I would want it on a wall if I was the climber.

Flyerace, I have a confession to make to you.........I was standing on the ground and my daughter was barely off the ground. She was not high up at all. I also tipped the photo to make it appear as if she was climbing a much more vertical climb. A good way to tell is looking at the right hand that has the white tape on it, the hand is not in the crack at all. Sorry to trick you the way I did.

Yes, she had the situation very much under control. Yes, ever since my shoulder surgery I'm the photographer. It eliminated several sports that I used to enjoy. Now I have limited sports that I do, like kayaking and light mountain biking. Thanks John.

Awesome photo for both of you to cherish. Those of us who have experienced some rock climbing personally know all too well how challenging it can be. Like you, I have also taken my two children out climbing, both rock and alpine. My daughter took to it, went through Basic Climbing School, has frequented the rock gym, and summited a number of peaks in the NW and Colorado. You are making me want to dig out some photos of my son and daughter from rock climbing practice.

Great picture. Rock climbing has always been an enigma to me. It just doesn't seem like it could be possible. It must be a great feeling (if you aren't afraid of unprotected heights like I am).

Good for you getting your kids out there with you. Both my girls are leading 5.11's now and I'm so proud of them! I'd love to see some of your photos. I could share some more with you too. About 25 years ago I used to climb the Matterhorn Mountain at Disneyland. That was the most fun job I ever had! I would be climbing the mountain and thinking to myself, I can't believe they are PAYING me to climb this!!!!! I'm attaching a photo of me leading the overhang at the top of the mountain.

Lee, it is a great feeling climbing a route that you are not sure if you can or not. It's a rush!

My rock climbing topped out at a few 5.9 routes. Decided Pacific NW alpine climbs was what I enjoyed.

Here's a couple of my daughter's summits. She also has a few Colorado 14ers, climbed some peaks in New Zealand, and she's been to the Mt. Everest climber's base camp in Tibet!
