Here is a photo I took of my daughter Rock climbing in Yosemite. I taught her and her sister how to climb and they are superior climbers to me now.
It looks best in download mode.

Very nice pic, I bet she liked the shot.
Her face, left hand and left foot really show the calculated and deliberate effort being expended.
It seems a little crazy to me but I know like anything else, the folks who do this love it!!!
My only nit pick, if the sun would have cooperated and lit her face.

Edit: if your children do something you love better than you, you done Good!!!

Thanks so very much! In this particular photo, my daughter was being belayed from above so if she would have fallen, the rope would catch her immediately! Very safe!

Yes, she did like the photo a lot! I like how you have analyzed the photo and noticed all the details of hand and foot placement. You are so right about the people that do climb love it. There is a certain adrenaline that you get by doing it. Your mind is very focused and your body is in sync with your mind. When you complete a climb without a fall that is at your climbing ability or above it's really exciting!
Sorry about not waiting till she climbed up into the sun to light her face. That would be better for sure.
I like your attitude about me teaching them to be better climbers than I am. I did good! lol

Thanks a ton Dennis. I look at this photo like I do most all of my photos........I look for things I like and don't like about them. Of course there are things that I would change if I could, like the sunlight on her face would be a nice improvement. Right now she is in the shade with her face. I could have cloned out the bruise on her leg, but I chose to leave it in etc.........
Thanks for the kind words about the photo Dennis.

Great shot, Brent! My son climbed for years, but I never got into it.

Mike, I know you would have enjoyed it. It's to bad your son didn't insist on you joining him on one of his climbs. He could have set up a top rope and it would have been very safe for you but you would have gotten all the thrills and no danger.
