Really?? Then what are they? Seems I have been misinformed my whole life. They bed down in my back yard and the DoW calls them antelopes. We need to get the DoW informed that they are wrong.

Good catch, QD!
Thanks! These were totally calm - had to whistle to get them to look at me.

Great pictures - it's tough to get close to them for photo ops...

Great set! Great equipment matched to a photographer'd eye gets great results! Thanx for sharing!
Pronghorns.
Good set of pictures! Fresh cut hay makes a great backdrop. Where I have lived for the last forty years, these (Pronghorns) antelope have been referred to as "Speed Goats"!

Thanks! Heard that name as well!
In a field of freshly hewn hay? Those are some mighty pampered pronghorns you've got up there in Montanistan.
Down here in Ootah, I'd need a 1000mm lens or longer to get as good shot. And when I do see them, there sure isn't any reason to whistle. They know I'm around a lot sooner than I know they're around, and in those instances where they don't bolt, there's always a buck --like the one in your last shot-- who's none too shy about checking me out.
Good stuff, quix.
