I like the first one. Easier on the eyes and the darker background.

#2 is by far the one that grabbed my eye. It's just the style I like. Lots of detail and some bright highlights.
Both presentations could hang in my office, but the second one would be best. IMHO.

No 2 would be great if you could get some of the noise out. I like the density in #1.

I prefer #2 because there is a bit more light in the sky. The clouds add to the composition.
I learned from Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Composition" that the best time to photograph a cityscape is about 10 minutes before the sky turns black. I've had great success with the technique.
Here is one of my cityscapes:

It is so funny that I have some incredible cityscapes of Panama City shot from Old Panama City. They are a bit wider and from farther away. People should see how incredible the city is. Crazy drivers though! I shot some from the roof of out hotel . Some of my best cityscapes because there is so many neat buildings. Did you see the corkscrew buildings? It is a small world.

I like #1. I like the shapes of the buildings against the darkness. The clouds in #2 distract me.

Yes, I did see the corkscrew building. I found it hard to get a pleasing composition of it when zoomed in.
It is about in the center of the skyline in this photo:

I spent a week in "Casco Viajo" taking a Spanish class. I must admit, learning Spanish is proving to be more challenging than I anticipated.

Another wonderful destination for photography is Cartagena, Colombia.

I stayed right next to the corkscrew and got some interesting foreground in the garden of the hotel. Would love to go to Columbia---very modern city--probably incredible cityscape. Enjoyed our interaction.
