Erik, you make it hard for me with these posts, which I do love but now I need to put my thoughts to words which is the hard part. Both sequeces are great and I love the water movement in the second sequence. I like the first sequence better because I can see the details of the bird and his catch. The difference in very minor and if they were in seperate posts I would not have the same thoughts. My opinion which we both know is worth only $.02. For the set I feel is great

Thanks Greg. I enjoy getting other takes on my images. What I think and what others think. vz

Mix and match. You are the second responder to suggest this. Thanks Elliot for looking in and responding. vz

For the same reasons others have stated.
Thanks Frank for weighing in. vz

i prefer the first set. All are good, I just get a better feel for the bird in the first set.
Much thanks mizzee, your response is appreciated. vz
While the second shows real action with the flying water drops I like the first which shows off the bird itself. Very nicely done in both sets.

A few from both.
#1, #3, #4 and #6
Light, detail and action.
I like the first one. I like the sequence to catching the fish.
The 1st for the "hunt" and the 3rd for the "capture"

If I had to choose A/B I would go with set 2 because I like the water action. If I could choose 3 randomly I would go with 1, 4 and 6 because it shows the bird best in 1, gives great water action in 4 to add to the action of the bird getting its fish and 6 because it shows the success with just a hint of water action too.

Both are excellent Erik, first sequence for me, love seeing all of the beautiful heron
If these are two separate events, or you have to limit to three, I'd go with the first one. It tells the whole story: The attentive wait, The jump into action. & The successful catch. If wanted to have four and didn't care if they came from the action, I go with sequence one and insert photo #4. Just my opinion. Both very nicely done Erik.
