You spent $1800 on gas, how much did you spend on oil? As my friend, a former Jeep owner, once told me Jeep is the Greek word for sieve. :-}

Interesting report of your trip and a lot of hilarity over the grammatical errors.

He hasn’t gone yet it’s his plan to go.

Yes fun reading the mistypes. The spelling miscorrector software strikes again!

To Whom This May Concern

It is apparent that many of you either don't have or have never had issues with physical limitation or sever arthritis. The fingers are not working as will in my old age. For those who can simply read through these "typos" thank you for not bitching about and having the understanding. That not all of us type so fluently..

I merely posted this because we're all photo buff some more than others. With my art/photography, I'm hoping to bring home of of the best images yet with the Canon M6 as well with the two added home made filters.

If grammatical typo errors is something that upsets you, then avoid my topics in the future. because my images should be enough.

To answer questions, No we haven't left yet, But we're a few steps closer because all of the rooms have been reserved. Typically we've never reserved any rooms in past vacations or simply camped along the way.

My objective here is to have a more detailed trip report when we return. The good, bad and the ugly of it all. Perhaps this will inspire others with physical limitations to get out and do something about and don't let your limitation control your life.

Note to Rick: (lsaguy)

1,800 for fuel for a doorless jeep wrangler driving cross country isn't bad, The oil on the other hand was bad, the 3.8L is not to be messed with and I was constantly topping off the oil. made some alterations to the newer jeep this go round.. most wranglers drive like tanks, I've upgraded the suspension on our current wrangler and I've had a couple of service managers tell me after driving our jeep for the first time, "Man, drives like a Cadillac" which made me proud because the suspension upgrade I selected worked superbly.

Fortunately I live just 35 mi from Aspen groves of the Hwy 88 Carson Pass/Hope Valley of the CA Sierra Nevada Mnts. I took a drive up there yesterday - sure every grove was nice and green "BUT" in the next 6 weeks that will all be changing. Right now the willows are turning brown - shortly they will turn red & gold - we usually get
get a light snow any time in the last 2 weeks of Sept the kick starts the color change making the first two weeks of Oct prime time for the CA fall colors -. I am polishing my lens in anticipation.

When the OP said "Best take the necessary perpetration for this big event." it's fairly obvious to me he meant PREPARATION.

@Harvey I hope you're successful with your captures.

Something else I'll add here. I have a few extra yellow and polarization filters. So while on our travels if we take part of any grouping I'll be giving one of the extra filters away to a lucky group member. The only stipulation is that you will need the Cokin "P" 85mm lens adapter.

One way to handle this, is if you happen to be in the area we are taking pictures and I see that you have an empty Cokin P filter, don't be surprised if I step up and give you either a yellow filter or a polar filter. An Empty Cokin P Filter must be attached to your lens in order to win a new filter. Supplies are limited and gifting filters is totally random.

I had to laugh at the headline. It sounded like an article from a fashion mag from the Garden of Eden.

I’m sure nobody Knew of your disability and nobody means any disrespect. It’s all meant in fun.

We all make typo’s and we all endure good natured kidding over them.

That is a very interesting statement. Not sure what that means exactly.

Do you mean all colors come out as grey tones so colors don’t matter?
