I heard this guy flying around today and got in a few shots from below. I believe itβs a B-25. An intro from Wiki:
The North American B-25 Mitchell is a medium bomber that was introduced in 1941 and named in honor of Major General William "Billy" Mitchell, a pioneer of U.S. military aviation.[2] Used by many Allied air forces, the B-25 served in every theater of World War II, and after the war ended, many remained in service, operating across four decades. Produced in numerous variants, nearly 10,000 B-25s were built.[1] These included a few limited models such as the F-10 reconnaissance aircraft, the AT-24 crew trainers, and the United States Marine Corps' PBJ-1 patrol bomber.
Good shots of a fine old aircraft.

Thanks, with this 5Dsr capturing in raw, I can count the rivets.
Very good. Not much detail loss on close-up. Our local Air Force Base was a training field for the Mitchells during WWII.

A big favorite for model builders since the 1950s. I built my first in 1957.

Thanks. The plane was about a half mile from me and they were still nice clear shots when I pulled them up on the computer.

My first model was the P51 Mustang. If I remember correctly I crash landed it the first day I had it out.
