I am hoping for a little direction here. A good friend's birthday is coming and they love this shot.
I don't plan to go too large on the print.

Question is, color or not? Any thoughts on better processing is always welcomed too!

If we lived in a black and white world then I'd go with black and white, but we don't. The image is much nicer in color. Also, lose the motor boat and all that extra water, it adds nothing to the picture.

I prefer the 3rd image. It's cropped a little closer and more appealing to my taste. The motor yacht is a distraction but that's a bit more complicated. Good luck.

Question is which one does your friend like? Tell your friend you’re thinking of getting it framed and can’t decide.

I think color and the boats are good as they add some direction to the photo.

Out of #1 & #2, I like color. Out of #3 & #4, I prefer the B&W.
Great shots, BTW. I think he would be happy with either one.

The color is needed for this image. What you do have to do is decide what is the subject of the image. The mountain or the boats. The motor boat is a distraction while the sailboat alone would provide some scale. IMHO

I vote color. I'm a purest on B&W, printers can't print the effect/look of a silver oxide paper.

Color - and yes delete the sailboat. You might work on the sky - it is real close to the mountains.

Go with the color. Maybe a bit of de-haze.

Both are very nice. I’d use color and crop the square one on the top and bottom a little more.

I prefer the second version and definitely in color. Also, personally, I would leave both boats in the photo as they help to provide a sense of scale.
