After completing installation of files, programs, ... updating all software and drivers, backing up all drives, I was not able to process RAW files in Adobe PS CC. Tried everything I could think of, but no success. The program would "freeze"(not able to move sliders). I finally decided to activate a Chat from Adobe Creative Cloud. The Tech spent about 1.5 hours with me. He finally decided that it was Camera RAW that was causing the issue. He eventually downloaded and installed, directly from the Adobe site, a fresh copy of Camera RAW. Bingo-that worked! Now I can enjoy the speed of my new PC opening RAW files. Wow!! It is fast. I love Chats and when available, I use them frequently. No hearing issues, no accents to deter my comprehension and they seem to be much faster than phoning.
Yea, Adobe!! Some "Uhhers" severely criticize Adobe, Microsoft, Win 10, ... My experience has been a very positive one with tech support and the products. I installed Win 10 within two weeks of its initial offering in August 2015. Loved it then and still love it. I'm not criticizing those who complain and post divergent views. I just enjoy sharing positive experiences.

Plus you have a written record ... I particularly like those that have a print option (I use doPDF, freeware that saves the output as a PDF file). Otherwise, I'll use a copy&paste to save to a text file, but with those sessions that automatically close (ugh), you have to be aware. Any "promises" are quickly saved (as in "we'll give you a credit...")

Yes, I usually save the chats too. However, I only frequent trustworthy sites and do business with proven and reliable sites. Never had a “broken promise”.

Had one from a trustworthy business - challenged a rate increase and told it would not be applied. A refund was issued for that month, but the next month, new rate charged. Chat record saved a lot of re-explaining...
Unless they get backed up, Adobe chat works very well.

The few times over the years that I have called Adobe they were a pleasure to deal with and solved the problem. One gentleman with a heavy accent said that if it was a problem he would get another rep. Since he was up front about it I stuck with him. It took a little longer solving the issue, but we had a couple of good laughs while getting over the language barrier.
Glad to hear about other positive experiences.

My experiences with Adobe support have also been very positive. I haven't had many experiences with Microsoft, but then, I haven't had many problems. The only poor support I can report on is from Netgear and HP.

Thanks for the feedback, Andy.

Glad that worked out for you Mark. Adobe customer service and Canon (for printer issues) have always been top notch.
That brings up a question. CameraRaw won't work with my new camera. I have CS5, but don't have the $$$ to upgrade to a newer version. Is it possible to update CameraRaw without updating to a newer version of PhotoShop?
