If if was not an accident, I'm sure that china would be quick to disclose the fact that it was intentional. Therefore it must have been an accident. HA

China. Does NOTHING unintentionally. Everything is planned. They don’t mind killing off a few hundred thousand of their own people if it supports their plan.

Wow. Now I have seen it all! How about the >150,000 deaths in the U.S.? I am sure the Chinese planned our negligence too.

And how about the much-cited Spanish flu of 1918 that originated in ..... Kansas?

No evidence the virus was started intentionally. Possible it was an accident. Let’s follow the evidence before jumping to conspiracy theories (and paranoia).
Unlikely they started a disease on purpose to kill so many of their own and damage their relationships with so many countries.

Since you didn't use quote I have to assume you responding to me.

First off China doesn't do anything unintentionally everything they do is planned. China doesn't care how many people of their own they kill to get even with someone else. One of the top doctors in the world from Korea was on TV and stated that this is a man-made virus, I wished I had recorded that. he didn't elaborate so I don't think it started from scratch I don't know how you can make a virus from scratch I think it is a modified one. It started in China, and went untold to us and hidden from us until it was in our country well underway. Cell phone usage in that country dropped drastically and everyone over there has a cell phone. This started immediately after Trump tried to punish China, in retaliation to us/him. Is there solid proof? Maybe not, but there is an awfully lot of circumstantial. You can believe what you want to believe. I believe the circumstantial, as there is enough of it.

I am quite certain it was an accident because we began having cases before Trump stopped flights from China.
If of course our first cases came from China.

Dear frank: we agree. There is a Coronavirus. However, we were told. The world was told before it ever became a thing here. Trump, you may recall, spoke of how the Chinese equivalent of himself had been so helpful and “transparent.” This was the position of the Admin. for some time. Up until it got bigger and was too big a problem to be handled by the Fed. That was when the spin changed. All of a sudden China was doing this to us on purpose. No more, very helpful and transparent, but now, “...they lied to us” about the Kung Flu or China virus or whatever was in vogue on a different and particular day!
I have not defended the Chinese government; very little there to defend. However, they are now the leading nation on Climate change and improving our environment. Use your own judgment; that is why America is still great. However, before you go off on a rant about what China will or won’t do, get some provable facts to support any conspiracy theory you care to espouse. That is what is dragging this nation down. A bunch of people who choose to believe the most obvious tales and then pass them on like they are an absolute truth. Essentially, the vast majority are and have been easily debunked. To be credible ya gotta give more than an opinion, or, at least identify it as an opinion. That would help a great deal.

Has anyone bought a camera from WISH? Typically they sell lots of cheap Chinese stuff, some decent laptops, tablets, fishing gear etc. I have bought stuff from them in the past. Slow delivery but great prices. Lately they’ve started listing some pretty decent if not outrageous deals on cameras, lenses etc.

Just wondering if anyone’s bought any photo gear from them.

Thanks all

The only "WISH" I know about is Channel 8 in Indianapolis.
I don't think they sell any of their cameras.

Are you saying China is the leading country in Climate Change?? Not in the world I live in. Have you seen photos of their cities. That is a statement that is refutable.

CW... I did state it was my opinion (jmho) and why. I have suspected it since it started. To
much circumstantial stuff.

We may never know the truth!

What a disgusting reply. Why don’t you go and join a hate website and leave us to our desire of trying to help one another.

Geez, this guy just wanted to know where to buy a camera. I think some here has spend too much time hiding in the cellar.

To answer the question buy a camera from B&H or Adorama. If you want a used camera buy from KEH or MPB. You will never regret it. Amazon is sometimes OK but READ all the fine print.

Yes, there are various 'known' reliable sellers. I would also add Roberts {of Indianapolis} to both new and used lists.

Never heard of WISH but I do know that in photographic equipment that if the price looks to good to be true, RUN!
There are many reputable sources (B&H, Adorama et al) that offer competitive prices on supported hardware, stick to them.

I happened to know a bit about this topic. Before my early retirement 5 years ago, I was the Chief Operating Officer for the Solar Energy Industries Association.

If you measured it by the amount of renewable energy generated, China is #1 and the U.S. is #2, by quite a margin. Obviously, China also still uses coal in many cities, but they are trying to switch those power plants plants to renewable energy quickly, although they still have a long way to go.

If you measured it per capita, China is not even in the top ten countries in the world. The last time I looked, the U.S. is #10, with Germany on top of the list.

It's easy to dismiss China as a producer of cheap goods, but I can tell you that there are more ISO 9001 factories in China than the U.S. The solar energy industry realized 8-9 years ago that the quality of the solar panels produced in China were on par with the ones produced in America.

'Made in Japan" used to be a derisive term after WWII. Well, history has shown us.

To compete in the world, we must invest more in research and training our students to be better workers. The solar energy industry employs more people than the fossil fuel industry. Yet, many people still cling to fossil fuel (some even on coal!) to grow the economy, despite its effect on climate change and a rollercoaster history of job creation.
