Lots of good movies already mentioned. I would add - any movie with Peter Sellers (especially, Being There); any Bond movie just because; almost any Hitchcock movie; most Woody Allen movies; The Italian Job (either version but I’m biased since I do own a Mini); any movie based on a Tennessee Williams play; The Godfather movies and early Brando movies (Streetcar, Waterfront, etc.).

Casablanca, the best movie ever made. Red River, Jeremiah Johnson, Bullitt, Downhill Racer, The Great Escape, Grand Prix, IL Postino, any of the Sophia Loren/Marcello Mastroianni movies and Godfather II, mostly because I miss hearing Sicilian spoken.

Jeremiah Johnson or Appocolypse Now.

A few folks here commented on Apocalypse Now. Here is a bit of history about the sound track.
It's especially relevant is you're a Grateful Dead fan.

"Proof"

Not the 2005 "Proof" with Anthony H and Gwyneth P;
the 1991 "Proof"... a story about a blind photographer
staring Hugo Weaving and co staring Russell Crowe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PixfPsnh5Xw

I get a kick out of Full Metal Jacket
and the first Mad Max movie each time I watch those too.

Bambi is my favorite. The artwork on the backgrounds are absolutely beautiful. And the story is simple with minimal dialogue.

Hellfighters.....W/John Wayne.
A real oldie that when it is on always captures my attention is Sargent York, W/Gary Cooper.
Jack Reacher W/Tom Cruise, although not a Tom Cruise fan.
The Natural W/Robert Redford.
To name a few

I am watching the Star Wars movies in chronological order. It's nice to be able to see how the story progressed.

It has everything; love and compassion, hate and vengeance, humour, and the very best action scenes, and flawless acting by all; samurais, farmers, and bandits. My favourite scene is where Takashi Shimura as Kambei Shimada draws his bow and shoots two bandits from their horses - it looks so real. Toshiro Mifune as Kikuchiyo was brave and stalwart and yet funny and somewhat pathetic at times in his frustration to prove himself. Great acting... flawless directing.

About 90% of all movies I watch I would not care to repeat, but among those I have watched additional times are: "An Officer and a Gentleman", "Mystic Pizza", "Top Gun", "Raiders of the Lost Arc", "Working Girl", "Sound of Music", "Dr. Zhivago" (would have watched this more but there is about a 20 minute segment in the middle of the movie which could have been eliminated without effecting the story making it longer than it needs to be), "Hang 'em High", Pretty Woman", "Back to the Future", "The Great Gatsby", "The Lion and the Darkness", "Out of Africa", Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", "The Sting", "Patton", "Coming to America", and the two Movies I could watch once a year with no problem -- "What About Bob", and the movie I have watched more than any other "Bridge on the River Kwai".
