I have read this thread, but not sure if any apply to the "back button focus" buttons on different cameras.

I believe that the issue is diminished sensation when pressing the shutter release button.

i'm in the same boat. i found a old used L bracket in my bag. i bought a cable release, taped it to the L beacket and press the button with my left thumb.
