Good luck with that. Not really sure what you want in your President but I would have thought a comparison of accomplishments over three years versus 47 years of nothing except lining one’s own pockets would speak for itself.

The number of infections is increasing by thousands everyday, with no end in sight—nothing that will even slow it down. Unless something changes the current rate of infection, the closing of pools will be a forgotten inconvenience.

Actually it's' the number of positive tests that are increasing by thousands every day.
Implying that infections are increasing. No doubt they are, but to what extent?
Turns out, unfortunately, that the CDC and at least several of the states, do not separate positive virus tests vs. positive antibody tests. Rather, they are lumped together into a single tally. Irresponsible to say the least, if not downright misleading, especially on the part of the "esteemed" CDC.

In light of this, I posted a question on our state's Department of Health facebook page asking how they count their positive tests, and my post was deleted.

All the medical experts had a vivid picture of how re-opening prematurely would result in another surge of the virus. Businesses, impatient people, and a misguided President, only worried about his re-election in terms if the economy; disregarded the medical authority and pressed to re-open. I am not a genius, but I was appalled that people thought it acceptable to mingle and mix in bars and parties, and on the beaches.
The progress we made in flattening out the virus has now been lost—and we start over.
This country is clueless.

In order for governments to identify new cases and effectively respond to the pandemic through tracing and treatment, testing programs should be scaled to the size of their epidemic, not the size of the population. Several countries effectively controlled the spread of the virus through testing programs that had a far lower number of tests per capita than the U.S. Meanwhile, despite having the highest rate of tests per capita, the U.S. faces the largest outbreak in the world and new cases continue to trend upwards in many states.

Without the same level of testing you have no idea what the rate is elsewhere. Anecdotally many cases are mild and are never Subjected to testing or for that matter included in confirmed cases. You don’t have enough information to make your claim.

Strange. I have NEVER suggested the pandemic will soon be over. What people forget or maybe never comprehended is that the lockdown was never intended to eradicate the virus. It was to flatten the curve so that hospitals would not be overwhelmed with patients, to allow time to produce ventilators and other personal protective equipment and to find drugs or a vaccine to help treat those with the virus. Most of that has been accomplished.

Of course, with reopening the economy (and increased testing) there are going to be many more cases confirmed. It is a balancing act between fighting the virus and maintaining the economy, not one or the other. There is a strong risk of lives either way.

How many times does someone have to tell you there is an issue and yet you don't take it seriously and do something about it. IMO, the reason we are seeing this spread is that generally people are idiots including A LOT of elected officials.

I fail to see the point. If the lockdown was intended to flatten the curve, and maintain adequate medical facilities, or if was to eradicate the virus; the fact is because irresponsible business leaders, mayors, governors, and one misguided President rushed into reopening prematurely, we gave up everything we gained, and are now in worst shape than we were at the worst time before the lockdown. 50,000 news infections everyday, with the prospect of 60,000 everyday next week.
This country is awash in irresponsibility, and stupidity.
And tonight, Trump makes it worse at Mt. Rushmore—this man is deranged.

You are obviously a 'RED' but do you not understand that the testing 'per capita' in America is amongst the lowest in the world. Your so called 'president' has you hood winked. He is nothing short of a self opinionated fool.
God will Bless America when you get rid of this idiot.

Let's assume you're one hundred percent right.....going to the beach, eating at McDonalds, having a beer at the local pub, going to the grocery store, seeing your dentist, getting your hair cut, going to the hospital with a heart attack - anything that takes you out of your basement and in contact with one other person - are all be fatal activities. Do you think the tens of thousands people that are (even as we speak) out there in the streets protesting, looting, vandalizing, threatening property owners, defecating on their own shoes, killing each other (18 last weekend) and shooting babies in head might be a bit of threat to our health too? Why have I never heard you mention the latter group but put total blame for the virus on the former group? Just a thought.

Because the protesters represent the Democratic left and they can do what they want with immunity. California just passed that houses of worship can meet but members cannot sing or chant. Yet they say protesters can match shoulder to shoulder without masks. Given that church and other house of worship members tend to be conservative and protesters tend to be liberals, seems like a double standard doesn't it?

You keep saying “reopening prematurely.” Can you enlighten as to exactly when “mature” would be? What would you tell all those people who cannot provide the necessities of life for their families when they beg to earn their living? How would you manage the balance?

TDS is the primary incurable disease here.

Trump team actions saved the lives of millions of Americans while Biden was calling him xenophobic for stopping travel from China and Europe Feb 1 and Pelosi was invoting people to Chinatown the end of February.

So easy to ignore facts when brainWashed by fake news.

Oh, and there were no issues with ICUs of ventilators. Funny how that worked out.

There is no pill for stupid! Trump couldn't find his butt with both hands.

I am neither RED nor BLUE. Like you I am an independent observer. I do observe and can assure you that if you follow MSM, you don’t have a clue about what is going on. They misstate virtually everything Trump says or does. They fail to report the good things he does and the corruption of the Democrats. If things get slow, they just make things up. I used to follow MSM until I started actually listening to Trump and then listening to how it is reported. The media have a bad case of TDS and like the virus they are spreading it to unsuspecting ......!
