What a spectacular palace that is. I bet the acoustics are phenominal.

If you go to Barcelona, you should not miss this concert hall.

Very nice picture. I would not advertise your perceptions of what's wrong. It is a very nice picture.

I'm going to take your advice to heart. Thanks

Hard for any building to stand out in a city dominated by Gaudí but the music hall is certainly a rival. Here is a close-up shot of the stage shot a few years ago - Nikon P900 sooc jpeg.

The whole place was a gold mine of photo opportunities.

I know that everyone has their favorite for a "Most Beautiful" designation. Here is mine. This is the Barcelona Pala de la Musica Catalana concert hall. Ideally I would like to photograph a venue like this when no one is there but as a tourist that rarely works out. I positioned myself in the balcony and caught this small group in a rehearsal. The lighting was quite a challenge as when I took the shot in 2013 I did not have the skill set to maximize the unbelievable design of this space. Also, what I think that makes the shot work is the symmetry in the photo. There are so many features to be balanced on both sides of the image that it wouldn't work without a certain balance and harmony. There are still distortions but I still don't have the expertise to make it perfect. (My favorite part of the photo is the detail in the sky light.)

Beautiful photo; we'll add it to our list.

We were in Barcelona in 1973, had 5 nights booked there the first week in April (cancelled due to COVID-19) and were supposed to have ended a cruise there in a week. However, we re-booked the cruise and will have 3 days there in two years. Something to look forward to.

We're really looking forward to our return. When we were there in 1973, I had one semester left in college. We were wandering around Montjuic Park (where they used to have the Formula 1 race) one day and I decided that I would like to eventually teach in the department from which I was about to graduate. However, I wanted to get some "real world" experience first, as my best professors were the ones with experience. After almost 35 years of experience as an aerospace engineer, I started teaching my favorite course in my former department. I did both for about 6 months and then decided it was time to "pick one." I retired and just finished my 12th year of teaching that and another course and plan to continue to do so for a while longer. I'm looking forward to wandering around Montjuic Park again.
