Thank you all! I went with an OP/TECH Pro Loop/Strap through Adorama. Haven't gotten it yet, but it looks like it will do the job well. I appreciate everyone's input and careful attention!

I purchased a Peak Design Slide for my trip to Alaska last summer. I was looking for a strap which would allow me to carry my camera comfortably for long hours of hiking and sight seeing. I was very pleased. PD can be used as neck strap or cross body. In cross body it will sit above my tailbone and it's easy to reach to swing into place.

I whole heartedly second OP/ Tech. For years I cross carried SLR & DSLRs w/ the Envy pad (I find the Envy pad extremely comfortable) & 2 PRO LOOPS attached to Nikon triangle rings. After getting a big heavy, top of the line 24-70mm f2.8 zoom, the camera dug into my side. I wanted to try a cross slide style camera upside down carry. I got the Black Rapid & didn't like it. The camera didn't slide up & down easily & it just felt klunky. I wanted it to work, but it didn't. I ordered the OP/ Tech Sling strap adapter attached it to my old Envy pad & 1 Uni-Loop XL for something around $20 bucks. Works beautifully. And the amazing thing is, it's cheap.

It's NOT 'cheap', it's inexpensive. Personally can't believe how reasonably priced OP/TECH actually is. I've been using them since the F5! Best of luck.

In addition to it's other assets, it's an excellent way to prevent your camera from falling to the ground (or into a body of water). We've heard many of those sad stories here. >Alan
