In recent years everything longer than a few hundred miles travels by air, so some of the ‘slowness’ of the Mail may be a result of the disruption of airline schedules these days.

For the benefit of all 'UHH-dom,' here is the simple and best way to get help with tracking your USPS package you have not received. Follow these exact steps.

First, the "do not" list - 1. Do not call the 800 #. 2. Do not 'file a case' online with the usps.com. If you phone or contact the seller, they can contact the USPS, give the seller all the info and your email address. USPS will tell the seller that they will track the package - expect a reply in about 2 weeks or more.

So, here is what you do -
1. Call or visit in person your local USPS.
2. Ask to speak with the Supervisor. Explain that you haven't received your package, give your tracking number and tell anything else that you have learned to date.
3. Ask for their help.
4. The USPS computer system is in 'layers'. We only see a very limited amount of the information that the USPS has. Your local USPS office supervisor can see much more than we, the public, are allowed to see online.
5. The Supervisor often can see all the tracking info about your package and generally, where it is. If it is marked as delivered or out for delivery, the Supervisor can send a message to the delivery carrier.
6. If the Supervisor can't tell you direct information while you stand in front of them, often they can get an answer in less than 24 hours.

This is the fastest possible way to help get your missing USPS package and get it delivered to you.

NO similar "tricks" with FedEx or UPS. Sorry.

👍👍👍 Never let an opportunity pass without taking a shot. It show's some have TDS. Move on with your life.
The election was over 3 years ago, and Woodstock was over 50 years ago.

The Postal Service is an American institution authorized in the Constitution. It is undergoing scrutiny and change, as many things in this country, with an undermined future—much to be decided by the Board of Governors, the newly appointed Postmaster General, and the President, What happens to the Postal Service in the near future will affect all Americans; is political, and any discussion of it, should and will be political.
No, when discussing the Postal Service, political views are relevant, and cannot be ignored.

Some of you might have noticed the current lock-down situation.
There has been an unprecedented, rapid increase in the demand for shipped goods.

While it is annoying to wait for a package, the delivery system(s) have performed remarkably well.

My original post in this thread was the Trump appointment of a rich contributing crony, with no Postal experience, as the new Postmaster General. That is relevant to any discussion of the performance, and the future performance of the Postal Service, don’t you think?

I think Trump is a dangerous man, who is ill-equipped to be President; and if re-elected, will destroy the country.
That is true, but is not the reason I object to cronyism in the Postal Service.
Are you happy now?

I just received a package from China. Item was purchased on April 15 from Amazon.
It arrived in a plan yellow envelope, with Chinese postage.
I checked my order history and it said arrival June 17.

Yes! And Amazon should do something about that. A six-month extension is the least they could do. There are other benefits to Prime, but fast delivery is the most basic and is most important to people. I'm sure the virus is playing a part in slow deliveries, but maybe only a part. I'm waiting almost two weeks for several Prime items to arrive.

Yet.. life goes on.

No problem, in 2008 I assume you helped elect a president with absolutely no experience, history, or qualifications in anything (excepting anarchy and racial preference). Hell, he even received the Nobel prize before he was settled into his office. In spite of that choice, this great nation has survived.
