Last Saturday I ordered a small item from amazon prime. The delivery date was Monday. Monday i tracked the package and it was out for delivery all day until 10:00 pm. Strange, since the post is normally delivered between noon and 14:00. It never arrived; and after 22:00 i had a message that said "delivery delayed. expect package either tomorrow (Tuesday) or the day after". Tuesday, late in the day, the notice said the "package was delivered". It was on the steps or in the mail box and the 800 help number was no help. Wednesday the notice said the package was out for delivery. It finally showed up.

Thursday I went to the local post office to mail a large envelope and asked the nice lady what was with the confusion. Here answer " the ground delivery system is in a state of confusion". She pointed out that only one of the three windows was staffed and that many people were not working. I know a retired US post supervisor and he said he retired early because " he could not take it anymore". The upper management fellow workers were (fill in the blank)

In the past few years all three (US post, Fed ex and UPS) have delivered packages to the wrong addresses in our small neighbor hood of 8 houses.

They're all screwed up. Especially Amazon Prime. Keep in mind we're paying for a service we're not getting. Yes I understand C***d -19 is the cause. I just ordered a Carbonation Drink thingy, it came in 2 days, (not essential). Ordered some vitamins weeks ago, I guess an essential, still waiting. I ordered Paper Towels from KaTom Supply 5/1/20, they sent me toilet paper instead. I've been waiting for correct replacement order since 5/5. Then I looked at reviews, everyone was a negative. Delivery dates change every time I tract something. My advice, shop local if you need in a hurry and if you can. Plus it'll help out your local stores.

No worry. Trump appointed a rich friend who has no history or experience with the Postal Service to become Postmaster General.

Things will only get worse.

I haven't had any problems lately, but a few years ago I mailed a gift to my daughter. The tracking said it had arrived in some sort of t***sfer facility in New Jersey. Then nothing. It never arrived. Wen I asked at the post office, they said that the items are scanned on arrival, not going out if they are still on their journey. So - I asked if they had any way of knowing where the package was located, and he said that they did not. It could be misplaced in the t***sfer facility, it could have dropped off the truck, it could have been stolen - but they were pretty sure it had not reached the final post office, or it would have been scanned in. Seemed like they were only doing half the job of tracking items. It never showed up.

Yes! And Amazon should do something about that. A six-month extension is the least they could do. There are other benefits to Prime, but fast delivery is the most basic and is most important to people. I'm sure the v***s is playing a part in slow deliveries, but maybe only a part. I'm waiting almost two weeks for several Prime items to arrive.

She never said it was dire! She just discussed how messed up things are getting. A lot of people are noticing. As usual, there appears no room for any discussion with some. Dissent? Not really identifiable as to the political affiliation of the original contributor, if any, at all. What was so terrible about her non-political remarks and those following of a similar nature?
A little sensitive, aren’t we?
Let’s all try to be a wee bit nicer to others. It really won’t hurt. Honest.

Hmmm...I guess its just me then.....I haven't had problem with any of them.
In fact not to long ago, someone had ordered something for me and put the wrong address in and the Amazon driver recognized my name and delivered
the package to me instead of the wrong address.

homebrewer left no info as to whether or not male or female. Mentioning the postal worker was female misled me to id as female. My sloppy reading. mea culpa.

We all have these stories. Had a live orchid shipped by USPS. Paid for delivery within 4 day. Over 2 weeks later it finally arrived, and it was in sad shape of course. I don't want to b***h at the orchid company, as this is a small business and they did their best. And its not dead (yet), so good luck trying to get insurance reimbursement from the USPS.
When I ship thru UPS, I often get a message declaring it was delivered to its final address, and it even indicates its my home address. But in fact that only means it had arrived at a large hub in the town next door.
