JOBY Pro Sling Strap (SM - L) - For Professional DSLR and Mirrorless Cameras. This strap attaches to the tripod mount on the camera. Hardware is excellent and the strap is high quality. It has a "slide lock" (my term) to lock the camera in a position on the strap for carrying and easily releases to allow the camera to slide into position for shooting. Mine is attached to an Olympus PEN. Works great!

Another vote for Peak Design. I have this one and like it a lot for my D5600.

This will be my next holster system sounds comfortable for long shoots.

With the camera holster carry you can just take out your camera & use it hand held or with a tripod.
I knew think tank products were good just not this good. Straps & holster is around $100.00

I use Peak Design L-BL-3 on my 4/3 Panasonic mirrorless. It is 0.75 inches thick, so too narrow for a heavier camera. I use the Peak Design 1.8” on my D850.

What I like:
—High quality build of strap attachments and buckles
—The easily adjustable length that allows for me to wear it cross body.
—Attach to the camera’s strap rings not to the tripod screw receptacle
—The camera lies comfortably at my hip walking but is quickly ready for a shot
—length of the strap
—Strap is easily folded into a small case, it’s soft not stiff

Good luck with your purchase. All of my straps, after going through a few brands, are Peak Design because I like to carry cross body by the strap rings and I want something that adjusts strap length single handed.

I have the same one that RetiredCPO has. Black Rapid Cross Shot. Works fine for me. B&H has it for $51.95. BR has some cheaper and more expensive, but that one works well.

My wife has been looking for a cross body camera strap for her Canon PowerShot HS70X. She is ambidextrous, so shoulder doesn't matter. Our go-to, Best Buy, doesn't seem to carry them. I spent a long time on B&H's website and was overwhelmed by prices, and some of the "cons" written about in reviews for even the ones rated 4.5. I would be interested in what UHH members have to say. I would like to stay under $65. Thanks in advance for your advice!

This is an inexpensive one I've used for several years and once you adjust it for your size and camera it works pretty well. The main problem I've found is if I haven't used it for a while, I forget how to put it on :)

Check out the Altura Quick Fire Strap sold by Digital Goja. For around 20 bucks. I use one with my D7500, and love it

I have the same Cross body strap, very comfortable to wear and use, my Nikon D3300 + my 18-140 Zoom Lens work great with it. No Lens Creep either.

I have used a harness from https://boytharness.com/product/binocularcamera-harness/ The straps connect in the back and go over the shoulders and under the arms. The camera hangs from these straps. The first couple of times putting it on can be a struggle, but after that it isn't that bad. I got mine at a big box store, altho the price was the same as the online - - less than $25.

Cross-body is a method, not a piece of equipment.

I have always carried my camera cross-body.

Get a good camera strap and let out the adjustments until it is long enough.

If you want the camera to dangle off one side, get a strap that attaches with loops and put both loops on the same lug.

I like this one:

$11.

Cross body camera strap not equipment. Who knew? I guess I was pretty ignorant until reading your very authoritative post.

Optech makes great straps at reasonable cost. They work well. This is the crossbody strap I use.

Some time ago I purchased one called "Jungleland". Can't remember where I got it but it was online. Works great.
