To me figure photography is about showing the beauty of the human body be it female or male. For me, there is no beauty in the image posted. I can't label it pornographic but I can say I wouldn't emulate it.

Regarding the piercings of skin. Skin is one of the more elastic property on our bodies. With the appropriate chemistry and/or pins it is possible to do it anywhere with differing materials. The most painful are those done as ritual of passage. The pain is part of the process. However, many are quite painless, if the correct procedure is done.

I not only see the tension in this photograph, I see much more.
I see the eternal struggle, against overwhelming odds, of all of mankind along a path that may not be of their choosing, but follow it they must. A path that leads to a destination that is unknown and perhaps revealed in time. But, still, for an unknown reason, all of humanity continues to trek this time-worn path in search of that destination. The ornaments, with their bright sparkle attempt to distract the traveler from the path that is to be followed. Will that traveler abandon the search for the ultimate goal and be led to a destination of perdition or resist and continue on, mindlessly, that well-worn path to destiny?
Geez, so much in one simple photograph. It's overwhelming.

Please relax, don't you see that this forum is for people that don't see things like tension in photos, they are all looking for what they see as "ultimate sharpness."
