I’ve used BayPhoto with great results.

I highly recommend Bay Photo as well, they have a great product at a very good price, with quality that can not compare to the Costco and some other cheap places suggested and with that, I mean that Bay Photo quality is far above the others mentioned. It all depends on what you wish your final product to look like. Just a cheap calendar or a quality item that you will be proud to show around and keep for future enjoyment to look back on. You won't regret using Bay Photo and speedy too.

I found a good, flexible camera program. Let me see if I can locate it. I think it was all done online.

I had three bookmarked, but only one is still working. I think it's the one I used several times. Give it a try.

Those are all good suggestions. Keep in mind - some of the Costcos are dropping their photo service. I did some years ago after my Alaska trip and printed my own. I had Staples or another office store do the spiral binding. I made about 30 for family and friends and as I recall the binding and shipping was around $150.
For paper for printing I used 13x19 card stock. Came out really nice though maybe a glossy paper would
a little better, but I didn't know where to find it other than photo paper which could have gotten really expensive.
Those are all good suggestions. Keep in mind - som... (show quote)

Last time I checked they were dropping the in house printing/processing at low volume stores and keeping the mail order portion.
Do you know differently?

Shutterfly! I have been using Shutterfly every year to make about 25 calendars as gifts to friends and family. the service is free (the calendars are not free - it depends on the size) and the service is the best in the business in my experience. They have an excellent help capability and you can generally "chat" with a knowledgeable person should you experience a problem. I am not associated in any way with Shutterfly beyond being extremely happy with their products and service.

I used Motif. For calendar’s this year. They turned out great. Best I’ve received since Apple no longer has their print products. I’ve used Simple Prints for books. Very happy with them. I do not think they do calendars.

I do not send my images to various third party companies that place those images into their calendar templates! I make my own calendar in Photoshop from scratch... First I make the template and then add the photo in the Photoshop App. Then print out all the pages on doublesided photo paper ( I use Epson media and printer)... I have a machine purchased some years ago at an office supply store that punches the required holes in the pages and the plastic spines that fit those holes. You also need a three hole punch (with the outer two hole punches removed) to make the nail hole at the top of the picture... The machine is no longer available in store (only on line)... but the spines are in store. So if you can aquire the hardware to punch the holes and have the time - You can create your own custom calendar with your exact specs - rather than rely on someone else's templates!

I second Shutterfly. I've been making my cat-loving wife a calendar with photos of our cats as a Christmas present every year for the last 7 or 8 years.

I am thinking of making a calendar for 2021.

I've been making a fundraising calendar for my local SPCA for years. Am in the process of switching from InDesign to Affinity Publisher for actually laying out the calendar. Have always used printingcenterusa.com to print it, and have been very satisfied with their service and the product they produce. They have templates, but I created my own in InDesign and then sent them the completed file as a PDF.

I am thinking of making a calendar for 2021. The subject will be "THIS CHINA NOW". I have been to China over seven times to photograph the life of the Chinese today.I am a retired US Army photographer/photo journalist. However because of the present state of China today I may not be able to go back to China this year. So I decided to make a calendar instead of a photo book for now. Have any of you Ugly Hedgehog's have any ideas or suggestions? Thanks guys in advance.

I've used Vistaprint for several calendars. They've turned out well.

I think it depends on how many calendars you want to make. If you are just getting a few I would probably do them locally at Costco or similar. If you are getting more than 20 or so I would recommend Vistaprint. We get about 100 calendars from them at a time and the quality is good and the pricing is very reasonable if you take advantage of their promos.

Yes, the Vistaprint promos are very good. I normally wait for their 50% discount which happens around the middle of November for calendars.
