I remember the flamingos on Lake Nyvasha in Kenya, many moons ago. But offer a more delicate hint of pink now.

Good Day all you Beautiful Hedgehogs. As many of you know I am a cancer survivor as many of you are and October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and breast cancer awareness is all about the PINK. Actually, my favorite color
think of it as lightish RED ;) I decided 16 years ago, when I was diagnosed on Valentines day that I had 1 of 2 choices to make

AND I would win. I was paralyzed for a year and really wanted to skydive and land on my feet. So, after some really hard and painful work not only did I get the opportunity to skydive, I landed on my feet and walked away. I have since jumped 20 times. Next on my list was to own a Harley. Her name is Sally (because when I took her home Mustang Sally was playing as I rode off) I think we are all survivors, whether we survived cancer, or some other illness or the loss of a friend who wasnt so fortunate or we have survived something as epic as tragedy, the roller coaster at the amusement park or the parking lot at Wal-Mart
we are champions!
Today is all about the PINK or the lightish RED
post what youd like but post it in or with some pink. Post in in honor or memory of a survivor. I truly respect and love you all.
And for your listening pleasure I give you a choice.

Yesterday was my darling daughters 19th birthday! As many of you know, she was adopted at birth... we already had her brother Gabriel who we got at 4 mo. old as a foster baby...birth mom was 13...when she was 15 she came and said she was again pregnant and didnt want the state to take her baby... she was 15...we had her move in with us until my daughter was born and then stay for the 6 week check up...since she is part Indian she had three years to change her mind...we wanted her to be sure! Estee Arianne Zorea was born and placed directly into my arms. She is my only daughter and I cant even begin to explain the deep love I have for that child!

Great unusual shot of all those Flamingos! The rose did well by you-beautiful!
This is a sunrise, and sunrises mean a new day, pure as they come. As a cancer victim I no longer dwell in the past nor am I interested in the future, I want TODAY! I want a beautiful sunrise, a hot coffee and I want to do things. Between doing things, I nap. When the time arrives when I can no longer do things, I shall close my eyes and dwell in the past, with a smile on my face, and say to myself, ''Yeah man, you did it right''

As I read your story-I thought about how many patients I have taken care of with this awful disease. I looked out into my back yard and there was a beautiful PINK Glow behind the trees in the woods! So, I thought it was a wonderful sign of HOPE for us all...We have come a LONG way with Cancer Treatment-many success stories..Lets all pray that we will find even more new answers to help those in battle!
