So, one of your 6 locations gets their cut, you're off the hook for the tax, B&H foregoes some profit, and your local camera store loses sales and maybe goes out of business. Everybody wins?

What's the problem? It's legal and the states still get their pound of flesh.

If you don't want to pay in full you should use B&H card which you can pay in 6 or 12 months without interest. You do have to pay the tax but that's less than if you use the PayBoo card and pay in 12 months.

I've used it before and was pleased to be able to save the tax on items I've purchased. I was late paying one time because I didn't have my notification settings right and wasn't notified that my payment was due. I called them and explained and they immediately took the $15 charge off. I have several Synchrony cards and they've always been good people to deal with.

B&H is no problem. The only problem is with Synchrony Bank. They love to sock you with $30-$40 late payment penalties even if the check arrives less than 24 hours late.

Beware. Pay your bill. I'm not sure if the savings in sales taxes is worth it unless you are making a major purchase.

I believe that any of the credit cards that I carry will gladly slap a late fee on any payment that arrives 24 hours late. There is very little mercy in the credit business.

Interesting. I too have a credit score over 800 and was rejected. Maybe if it is too high, they feel you would pay off the balance on time and they would not make much money off of you.

Bingo! Bullseye! Right On!

Not true, I was approved, have over 800 score and have paid my cards in full monthly for the last 20 years.

My credit score is over 800 and I received approval very quickly. I haven't used PayBoo yet.

works great as long as you pay within the allotted time. LOVE saving on that sales tax since in NY there is both a state and city sales tax. The infidels.

Be careful, didn't use it one month and was charged about $15 as a non-use fee. Canceled it immediately!

In the year Payboo has been around I've never heard of such a thing. As with any credit card if you don't use it it should sits quietly in your sock drawer or wherever. My wife and I have other Synchrony-issued store-brand credit cards and have never encountered this.

BTW to those here who reported positive experiences with the Payboo program -- thank you!!

Have used since it was first available. Purchase of three camera bodies, three lenses, and numerous accessories went without a hitch. Just pay it off before the high interest rate kicks in.

Used it several times. Great for making high price purchases. I pay the bill when it comes to avoid the interest.

I also have a credit score over 800 (but my wife's score who earns nothing is higher than mine). I was approved immediately and have used the account a couple of times. Paid in full immediately. No problems.

PayBoo works great for me, and I *love* B&H. They have the greatest customer service of anyone I've ever done business with.

You're welcome, Henry...

For me, would first have to find out which credit reporting agency they use then temporarily unfreeze that report. But I still prefer to have my reports frozen even back in the day when there was a fee to unlock/lock.
