I decided to get out and out early enough to avoid pretty much any other human for a several mile radius this morning. It's the first time I have really been out and about since the shutdowns first started in Florida even though the beaches have been open for several weeks now. This was just after sunrise, with some scattered clouds keeping the heavy shadows at bay.

Beautiful, especially the foreground with the raking light picking out the patterning in the sand.
Excellent capture, Tony! Put it on the wall.

You need read Ayn Rand.
Yes, that is exactly why I asked the question, was that not the question asked again and again in the book?
The line of clouds on the horizon is pleasing, but the patterns in the sand really make this shot IMO. And, of course, the light!
btw, you posted to main forum, so Admin will move the topic to Gallery, but you'll have lost a few hours of potential viewers who never visit this section. Another drawback is embedded photos from other sites aren't picked up in the "newest pictures" link at top of any UHH page.
This is too special to be in hiding

Ahhhhhh crap, I thought I chose the Gallery. I was working off 3 hours sleep and didn't realize it.
Thank you for the rest though. I am glad you picked up on my intent with the foreground
I added a little extra of what most of you call clarity to the sand to bring out that texture.

I appreciate the comments.

Thanks Mike! My wife is onboard and wants me to bump it up on the list. I may reprocess it for print.

Yes, my screen name is taken from Ayb Rand and Ian Fleming, two of my favorite writers, although very different in their content and style

A beautiful image John
I suggest you crop out the sky, get rid of the "layer cake" look, I believe that would add more impact to your beautiful image.

I read that book in the early 60's.
Nice image, Tony. I feel like my toe are wet.
