Yes, it is the ultimate testament to capitalism, I believe it was on a required reading list for high school students back in the day but I did not read it until much later. Some 1000+ pages, and although Ms Rand was a bit over the top in the several page manifesto contained within the book one must understand both her background and the then current political movements in the country when the book was written.

I decided to get out and out early enough to avoid pretty much any other human for a several mile radius this morning. It's the first time I have really been out and about since the shutdowns first started in Florida even though the beaches have been open for several weeks now. This was just after sunrise, with some scattered clouds keeping the heavy shadows at bay.

As always, Comments and Suggestions are always welecomed!

Such a nice image. Very serene. Love the lines in the sand. And the sky is beautiful.

Love the low light bringing out the texture! A winner!

I could see this as a pano, with the top cropped down to the top of the white froth. So the sand would occupy about 55-60% and the frothy waves 40%. The lines in the sand and the water edge are the subjects, to me.

I like it a lot, John. But I thought it was spelled Galt, without the "u". Ayn Rand was an eye-opening author for a young man. I think I was about 15 when I first read her.

Beautiful image, Tony. You caught the surf on the sand at just the right time and angle. Can almost hear it.

I suggest you crop out the sky, get rid of the "layer cake" look, I believe that would add more impact to your beautiful image.
Frank

Thanks Frank, I'll give it a try for sure.

You are absolutely right. I added the "u" intentionally years ago when I created an email account. Not sure what my reasoning was, but it sort of stuck around and have used it that way since.

I guess the photo was moved to the Gallery after my little snafu...LOL

Thank you all very much for taking a look and replying. And I will take a look at the suggestions provided to see if they catch my eye as I'm always up for learning new tips and tricks.

So just a little background for some that mentioned it....I did get wet getting this shot

I took some time (and many frames) to get the waves and the receding water how I wanted it. In the process, everything from my knees down succumbed to the gentle embrace of the Gulf of Mexico.

But no worries, both human and camera survived and looking forward to doing it again.
