It's not true that the West was doing nothing.....the Congress was all tied up with impeachment and everybody else was engrossed in the Harry and Megan split from the Royal Family. And if that wasn't enough, 2000 Democrats were trying to become President (so they could get their very own impeachment trial).

Fortunately, the news media was on the case …..wait, maybe not!

Never mind....

So you both think that Trump should have exerted authoritarian rule, as did Mongolia, China and South Korea, to shut everything down in January? And that the American public, including you, would have willingly complied?
Somehow, I doubt....

Amen! President Trump comes across a lot different than "slick" Politicians, but some of the denials about worrying so much about the virus in the beginning was actually his way of attempting to keep panic under control.

MadMikeOne can't figure out that he is in the chit-chat section which is for things not concerning photography. A lot of people find it inconvenient to read rules and directions.

I KNOW it’s chitchat. The poster is the one who doesn’t know where s/he is. Drives me nuts when people don’t read the section headings. But, to be perfectly fair, there ARE times when Admin moves an OP from the original section to the correct section. This could have been the case here,

Maybe 2 or 3 hours ago considering the number of posts. Anyway, have a good day friend.

Yep, a lot of them wind up that way anymore! We need to get rid of this virus, grab our camera's and get back out in the sun and fresh air.

Mongolia was able to do what the rest of the world couldn't. They deserve a lot of credit. We can't roll back the clock but we can act responsibly in the future. The biggest challenge is the disinformation circulated by bad actors in community.

He didn't have to act like authoritarian - but he would have had to close our borders to all, visitors and returning citizens alike, except that returning citizens could have had to spent several weeks in some quarantine facility.

Leefi, nice trolling job. No one bit however. Since you dropped the Dem bomb I will bite. I'm almost 76, and consider myself fairly smart and a good judge of human kind and all that. As I look back to JFK and LBJ, Carter, Obama, Feinstein and others from California I can honestly say that I do blame Dems for most of our problems. Dems were never so angry as when we took their slaves away in 1862. They've worked hard for a 150 years to get their slaves back in addition to conning every other minority to their base. I'm not saying that Rebublicans are faultless, but I don't see them on a conscience path to destroy America.

Then you bloody well deserve the disaster you made of it!
