It was a great show! It's funny that you said, "what an evening that it must have been," Roadrunner because I went to every ABB show in Massachusetts from 1990, except the one show at the Orpheum when they recorded the album, "An Evening With the Allman Brothers," because of work obligations. I miss 'em.

To start off - these are of an event held for the entertainment of All State high school musicians a few years back. I was hired to do the group portraits of each musical group (which happened the next day). I went up the night before to practice the set-up and enjoy the concert: a 50s group which the audience loved (and so did I)

Pat, These are terrific! The last one of the band with the afro wigs really brings back some memories. I know you had fun (did you bop along?) and you did a great job as your photos show. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for hosting with one of your other passions that combines sight and sound. This was taken in 2011 at Disneyland or Epcot in FL.
As you can see it was hot and steamy day.

This photo is so much fun; the Blues Brothers always evoke memories of one of my favorite films. I, unfortunately, have no musical talent but greatly appreciate the form and support the artists by attending performances and buying CDs. You gave me a laugh and a smile with the Brothers. Thanks!

If photographs are a feast for the eyes, then music is food for the soul. From symphony orchestras to the child banging on pots and pans; be it bands, solo performers, instruments, you name it, please share your photographic images of music. A brief back story can add to the enjoyment and interpretation. Here are my two: The image of the drummer was taken at a 2019 New Year's Eve dance and it reminded me of a 1960's studio gig (hence the b&w). The second photograph is a memory of my wedding day showing the music played, the lei I made and, of course, the ukulele. And a one, and a two, and a...

Great capture Bonnie of the drummer between the tom-toms.

Very romantic reminder of your special day. Alaska right?

Aloha and mahalo for sharing.Great photos and I'll bet looking back you have some fond memories of your time in Hawaii. Did you want to get up and participate in the fire dance? Hawaiian music, especially the old chants, hold a special place in my heart so mahalo.

I was lucky enough to get to shoot two of my very favorite musicians in concert - Emmylou Harris and Richard Thompson. Emmylou was performing at the annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco. The first Richard Thompson photo was in Austin Tx, and the second one in Saratoga CA. I even made some money on the second one as it was used for a CD cover photo.

Nice work John. Congrats on the CD cover.

Good set with #3 being my personal favorite. Just by showing the score and the position of the performers you told a great story.

Thanks Sue. Maybe you could post your friend's tattoo sometime?

Okay, this is favorite. Out of the box, but still you captured the soul of the performance. Good for you.

TomC. I like how you caught the expressions of the kids in concert. But I really like what you did with the solo tuba player.

Thanks for your comment on the drummer. Sorry, 50th State not the 49th. And thanks for participating in this challenge.
