Thanks for some intelligent commentary. For those that are uninformed Nature is one of the most highly regarded scientific journals. If an effective vaccine is found for COVID it will be a great achievement. No effective vaccine for any disease caused by a corona virus (e.g. common cold) exists.

Unfortunately, our politicians (in a global sense) have done humanity a great disservice. The economic effects of policy promise to be great. Food lines are already forming. Hospitals are nearly empty because folks are either too afraid to go to the hospital or doctors are prohibited from performing elective surgeries. Most places in the US have very few hospitalizations due to COVID. Elective surgeries are not just "nose jobs" but include removal of tumors and reconstructive surgeries immediate following breast removal. Women who do not have immediate reconstructive surgery are permanently scared. Massive unemployment also means death to starvation ,suicide, etc. Hospitals are also laying off Physicians, Nurses and others for lack of business.

Folks need to remember that the world is not safe. Living a full life requires taking risks.

Waiting to be Safe = Never

Thanks Bob for that new info. It is not just the USA pharmacy companies that are so based on the allmight dollar. Most of the drugs we buy are not even made here, they are made in other countries because of the labor cost to sales price of the drug. PROFIT is the reason. and Greed is the result.

It’s really kind of fascinating how people can listen to the same speech and come away with such different impressions of what was heard. I definitely heard Trumps suggestion about using disinfectants to fight the virus by injection of disinfectants inside the body, which could certainly be interpreted as using a syringe to inject something like clorox.

Trumps free wheeling and stream of consciousness manner of speaking does not serve him well when he is trying to appear like he is smart and well informed about issues.
