Now when I plug my LG 7Q thin to pc, it just shows 'Folder Empty'. So the phone pictures are not available. Is it an issue with the LG gallery or have they been transferred to a google photo ap?? Previously I could just drag and drop the images from the LG as stated in previous posts..

Had to turn sync off as any photos I deleted on the phone kept coming back.
Odd, I've never had that problem. I vaguely recall that there is a "delete everywhere" setting that you can turn on or off. Perhaps that had something to do with it.

Phone synced to Google Cloud, which I don't use.
I don't have that problem now, sync is off.
I don't remember seeing a delete everywhere button.
And where is everywhere?

The delete everywhere option is no longer available in Google Cloud/Photos. I suspect that it got removed in July 2019 when Google separated Google Photos from photos backed up to Google Drive. My mistake, I should have checked on that before my last post.
Before Google made that change, your photo could be on Google Photos, and backed up in the Photos folder in Google Drive and on your device(s). If the "everywhere" option was on, then deleting a photo would delete from everywhere that Google knew it was stored. If the everywhere option was off, then the photo would only be deleted from one place, the context from which you did the delete.

I have no problem now. The only images on my phone are the ones I place there.
When I delete an image, it's gone.
