Most of the anti-science rhetoric is from folks who don't know anything about science. An excellent way to begin to understand scientific process it to read "The Structure of Scientific Revolution" by Thomas Kuhn. This is a very important book. Science is the process by which modern people learn. It is not merely a collection of facts.
Because some one disagrees with you does not necessarily mean that they are unscientific. There are many historical examples of persecution of scientists with ideas that were eventually proven correct. There are also examples where the application of incorrect theories have ruined the lives of millions of people.
Because politicians, folks in the media and the general public have an almost absent knowledge of science there is much claimed in the popular press that is simply untrue and illogical. Mathematical modeling of complex phenomena is intellectually satisfying and can be used by experts who understand the assumptions as a learning tool. Often such models lead to incorrect conclusions and thus the conclusions should not be used to affect the the lives of millions of people.
As far as COVID-19 is concerned the data suggest a rather normal viral outbreak like that occurred in the flu out break of 1957-58. In retrospect, I think that the panic amongst politicians and the general public will inflict far more damage to humanity that the virus itself.

I distinctly heard him turn to the doctors sitting on the side wall and ask about injecting. At the time I was watching it on Fox News broadcast. I am assuming that we are a group of photographers, with experience in facial expression. Did I alone notice the look on Dr. Birx, when Trump inquired about injecting disinfectant into the body. Surely you all must be familiar with the expression, “silent scream”. Anyone? Did I alone notice her look away from Trump hoping to find an open window or any other means of escape from the room? Fauci was no where to be found. He must have left for Italy, where he could save some lives without having to argue with a Jackass.
My only prayer is that Trump will not resign. I want him to stick around until November to experience the worst defeat in American History since Custer.

You are right the reporter who asked this question is a complete moron. I assume others were not commenting out of politeness. If you inject isopropanol or bleach into your veins you won't have a COVID problem because you will be dead.

It appears that many people on this thread don’t realize that Trump spends his days consulting with and being advised by top experts in their fields. At the press conference, he is simply giving you an update on what they talked about and the ideas they have been brainstormIng. He doesn’t make these comments out of the blue.
There are however many individuals on this thread that know so much more than Trump’s experts. Perhaps these people should step up and lend their own superior counsel for the good of their country.
