This is an early attempt (1962) to allow tanks to ford rivers. It was on display at Fort Knox

With Memorial Day coming soon amid the Stay at Home order, we may not be able to honor those who have sacrificed the most for our country in the way we would like. I have posted this image before, but it represents the love and respect that we have for Veterans and all military. The flags and Medallions for the 5 branches plus the POW/MIA flag which reminds us that not all of our military have been returned home. Bless those who serve and always remember those who have served.

Hi, Lori! My son is currently stationed at Ft. Benning. A couple of years ago he was a Jump Instructor and I was able to attend the graduation ceremony of all these fine young men while back visiting there. I took this photo of the graduating class with my cell phone. My son is on the very far left, in the front with the Black Hat (the symbol of Jump Masters and Jump Trainers).

I'm sorry you won't be able to visit your young man and watch his graduation from Basic Training, it's a great experience for parents and family. All of my best wishes to you and hope this thing gets resolved sooner rather than later.

Regards,
~Chris

He probably has conservatively about 1500 helmets and an unimaginable amount of diving related items. Google him; Leon Lyons is his name.

Thank you for posting these. Brought back many memories. Most photos lost in a divorce, so memories are good. USAF 1959-1980
