With all this time on my hands I have been playing around with editing. I really like Ansel Adams' Black & White photos. While taking a photography class in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, our Instructor took us to this place. I did not want to capture the same photo as Ansel did, but I did shoot in the same area that he shot one of his photos at (I am not comparing myself to him, I just like his black & white photos) the angle is not the same as Ansel's shot, just the same area.

I like it....nice job 38 !

Loved the image you created. Is this a film or digital capture . Did you use filter ? Was there much pp involved. Ansel would be proud of you.

Go ahead and compare. No one is incomparable. He was just excellent.

Thank you! I shot it with a Canon 5D Mark II, with a Canon 24-70 F2.8 L lens, at the time I didn't have a filter. I used Lightroom to tweak the light and make lens corrections, then converted it to black & white with Photoshop and to take out some dust spots. Our class went out to shoot sunrise shots of the Moulton Barn, while I was changing my lens in the pitch dark, the mirror fell out of my camera. Thankfully our instructor was able to get the mirror back into my camera so I could take photos, but between panic to find the mirror and the end cap being off my lens it resulted in lots of dust spots.
