Where did you hear this? I can't find a reference online.
CDC director Redfield has said that he expects a second wave to be worse than the first.
The second wave of the Spanish flu 1917-18 was worse than the first, after social distancing was relaxed.
I'd love to read what you heard Fauci say this morning, and get his reasoning on this.

CNN just played a clip of Fauci emphatically saying "We will have Coronavirus in the Fall" .... but they showed just that - not before or after to show context.

We have to kill this wave before there is any point to worrying about another one.

Consistent with the literature and scientific discussions I have been following. What we are doing is mitigating.

The horse has already left the barn. Now we are trying to corral it. The problem with this virii is what is NOT being said. They are starting to release information on what was done to it in the lab (weaponized?). That is the part that is worrisome because it may be more persistent.

Kind of like how the Russians weaponized anthrax (spore) by teflonizing the outer coating to make it more inhalational so it goes deeper into the bronchioles and alveoli.

Oh yes now report me now because I called you out.

I'm not the type to report anyone. I just try to have respectful, logical discussions. This is the exact quote from you that I am talking about: "The democrat governors are the ones making the rules not the feds." I replied that most republican governors made the same rules. Do you agree with that or not?

As I have said, rules covering Indiana {Republican Governor} differ little from those covering Michigan {Democrat Governor}. There are differences - more have died in Detroit area than our entire state - but they are mostly differences that can be explained by local conditions or ‘fixed’ by curbside delivery.

Why shut up? You the only person who can express an opinion? I say turn everybody loose who believes Dr Trump, Dr Hannity & Dr Ingram. But put them on a list so they'll be last in line in the ER. Sadly we are so divided we can't even come together during a serious national emergency.

The only emergency is in the minds that are weak.
People are so easily scared it is pathetic today.
What happened to land of the BRAVE and the land of the FREE?
Over 98% who catch this stupid virus fully recover and 90% of them never even know they had it.

Fauci was talking at the President's daily press briefing last night. All 3 doctors specifically did not agree with what Trump wanted, namely that the Covid could also disappear on its own and not return. The woman was close to gagging to say what she wanted to say. But she stuck to her professional guns also and said that we would be better prepared to test and find it in the fall before it spreads. Fauci said that Covid will definitely return this fall.

Mortality rate for Covid-19 in the US is already at 5.4%. Even if you survive ICU, chances of full recovery, especially for older people, are slim. Lack of oxygen can cause organ failure, even brain damage. Don't think too lighthearted. Listen to specialists.

I also think a total lock down is not necessary. The economy doesn't have to come to a complete standstill whilst fighting the virus. Unfortunately for a lot of businesses distancing is a big problem.

A singing lesson seems in order - It's the HOME of the brave and the LAND of the free.

I, personally, don't want you or anyone else to be among the 10% or 2% to die from this virus. We need to help protect ourselves and others by using facts and scientific results.

The big stories I listened to this AM were international. Germany has been financially bailing out EU partners - Greece, Italy, Portugal, Eastern Europe, etc. during the last few years. Germany can't continue to do this and seems to lack the will. And the other side of the international story was about preparing for global famine, especially among the poorest peoples and 3rd world countries. If this piques your interest, please watch more of CNN International, BBC, etc. to learn more. - Here in the USA, farmers are allowing crops to rot in the fields and will have to kill livestock if it can't be sent to the factories like the plants just closed by Simthfield and Tysons. And with no migrant workers to pick the crops, our food supply will be affected.

All gloom and doom? Also at home, the scientist leading one of the 2 major USA efforts to create a Covid vaccine was just fired by Trump. He is talking with lawyers about unlawful termination because he opposed wasting time on Trump's hydroxychloroquine. We'll hear more of this story in the future also.

This is a genuine emergency.

In the past three months, over 700 Hoosiers have died of this killer, while only 121 died of the flu in the six month "flue season".

Perhaps you personally feel that way, but a significant majority of the populace disagrees. I heard today that an Indiana {Tyson} pork plant had closed "for cleaning" because so many workers have become infected; they are hoping it will be back up in a few days in some form, but that is to be determined - in the past week production had sagged because of absenteeism.

Total BS. There is NO evidence of that lame number.
Right now intelligent people are putting it at .1-1%.
As data comes in the slope is heading for a for sure of .1%

I don't know the situation in the pork plant but if companies continue to work the way they always have and don't adapt, it will be difficult if not impossible to continue working safely. Not every business can remain open during this crisis, but a lot can..if they adapt...

If governments respond too late, a complete lock down is the only solution. China, Spain and Italy are known examples. Countries in Northern Europe responded quicker, resulting in a less aggressive lock down.

It's a lame number indeed. It might be higher. Time will tell.

When the food processing plants shut down, what are we going to eat?
