Have you contacted MS support?
In the Windows store, there is a Codec package for W10 that adds the ability to open raw files in Explorer. And the price is right, it s free.

You need to update all your apps to Win 10 versions also.
Actually that is not necessary. His CS6 and Bridge should work in W10.

I have been running Win7 for years - very successfully. Now nobody wants to know about it, so I took a deep breath and downloaded 10.
NOW, Bridge does not recognise my cameras (all shoot in RAW) and I cannot download any images.
Admin/ computer management/portable devices etc - then come to the cameras - refuses to recognise them.
Any help would be appreciated please...
Have you reinstalled the camera software?

I have Windows 10, CS6, Bridge. My RAW files appear in Bridge as thumbnails. Simply double clicking on the thumbnail opens ACR. In Photoshop, click Edit>Preferences. Select File handling. Make sure Prefer Adobe Camera RAW for Supported RAW Files is checked.
Hummm. It was checked. But, I've never gotten the double-click thing to work. It opens it in regular PS, not ACR. Thanks!

In Bridge click Edit>Preferences>General. Check the box under Behavior that says "Double-Click Edits Camera Raw Settings in Bridge". That should do it for you.
Many thanks everyone for your interest and advice.
I installed W10 with the assistance of my IT son, retaining all my previous files/work etc. All was well. Put the computer to sleep and a couple of days later, having taken a few shots, cranked it up, only to find that the camera (D200) was not recognised.
Helped again and the camera was re-installed into the memory.
Again, later on, I used my D700, but it was not recognised.! Having already torn out many of my remaining hairs, I decicded to use the 200 again. Bingo - computer could see it. Quickly swapped it for the 700 and again, it worked..
Seems that I will have to start the computer with the 200 and then swap to the (also obsolete) 700. How frustrating....
The attached dragonfly settled on somebody's back - so why not - another shot....

Seems to me that your life would be much simpler with a card reader! They are inexpensive and easy to use. Good luck.

Windows 10, all by itself, does not understand RAW files. It requires an APP that handles RAW. If your app is not Win10 compatible, that may be your problem. Can you update the app?

Can't help but I made the same mistake. Free upgrade to windows 10. Lots of differences but time will tell. Good luck.
My PS did not recognize RAW, but a Hogger recommended updating the camera software and that solved the problem
Maybe you haven't noticed that Windows 10 Photos does not handle RAW files?

Instead of being negative about Windows 10, why don't you spend your time exploring it and learning how it works? There are so many good things about it. If you were a decent user of Windows 7, there's no good reason you can't effectively use Windows 10.
And NO, I am not a Microsoft employee. Just a user who is not AFRAID of an operating system.
