Just went to the Nikon site, It shows all D610 packages as out of stock. Did they discontinue the D610?

No, they are not out of stock. B&H has um.

I used a D610 for 4 years. Great body and you have FF lenses already. It was the high end of the consumer Nikons. I have a D780 which was twice the price of the $900. The D750 is in between for price. Nikon has been doing D610 trade ins so it could be a refurbished one. Probably just fine with the warranty.

That sounds like a good deal. B&H is selling it for $1,600

EDIT: They're selling the D750 for $1,500.

Just my 2 cents worth. Forget about the 610 which I owned, liked and sold at a great loss. It's been around for many years now and although I liked it a lot, it doesn't compare with D750 that I replaced it with. The 750 was a refurb, which I always opt for over new. A great camera in my estimation. Then on a whim, a few months back, I purchased a D500 on ebay for $825.. What a great camera !! Perfect condition. Don't waste your money on a D610. Opt for a D750 or a D500. You won't regret it.

This is true. However, there are many Nikon Prime lenses that are inexpensive and can work wonders on a cropped sensor camera.
Nikon 20 1.8, 24 1.8, 28 1.8, 35 1.8, 50 1.8, and 85 1.8. I shoot all the time with the Nikon 85 1.8 on my D850 and D500, it is inexpensive as far as a prime 85 mm and works great on both camera's.

How have you been doing lately?

Hey Chief! We're doing fine and my only escape is monitoring Osprey nests! Lots of yard work, my fault, and setting up to have the master bath redone. (Don't do it!)

I notice that you're still shooting and having a ball! In late Feb I did Black Point Drive, Orlando Wetlands and Lake Apopka. I used a 200-500 or G2 on the D500 and a 70-200 on the D850 and was quite satisfied.

Nothing on the radar now! Take care and be safe!

Earlier in the week the OP stated he had just picked up a 150-600 and a D7500 for his main interest...wildlife.

Someone told him a FF would be better.

Are you saying 'brand new' for this offer? They're listing D610s used at KEH for $625. You've been letting the FF peer pressure get too far into your thinking. Don't put new money on a camera two releases out of date. But, if we can't get you off the kool aid, look at a D750.

The surest way to corrupt a novice is to explain the importance of full-frame sensors.

I'll wager that the vast majority couldn't tell the difference. FF is much overrated for the average enthusiast.

FF is alluring even to me, an average enthusiast if there ever was one, but I could not articulate what if anything it's done for me other than spending $$. I am teetering on the edge of selling my FF bodies and just sticking with cropped bodies (and in some cases, lighter lenses.)

LOL, I feel your pain! Allure is an excellent description! It drove me nuts until I got one and then another before I slowed down and felt that realistically it was not worthwhile for my general use. Don't get me wrong, there are times when I enjoy the richness of certain photos, but really, having done comparisons, I would not likely do it again. Most of my shooting is wildlife and I prefer the field of view of the cropped sensor. Safe to say that I will retain my FF. If I kept only one camera, it would be my FF and use it's crop mode when appropriate.

So much for arguing with myself!
