Why would you need 64G as the smallest? Unless you are shooting 128mb RAW files😀😀😀

Video recording. I have no card smaller than 64GB.

He said disk. I wasn’t sure what he meant until he clarified it. There have been cameras that took discs. Who calls an SD card a disk?

Interesting. I know no one who calls a CD a disk (Even though that's the shape). CD (DVD) is used to differentiate between floppy disks and compact disks. But then again, people not in the business started referring to memory as 50 megs and 16 gigs, now that's all over the place. The "s" is superfluous.

I’m in the business and CD’s have been called “disks” for a long time. Hardly anyone uses them now. It’s downloads and uploads.
I had that problem with the memory size. My one camera can't use anything larger than 16Gb (SD), the other 8Gb (Memory Stick). So I bought a few of the smaller ones for each camera when I found them. I don't know if a 32 or 64 will work, just not being able to access anything over 16, or if they will not work at all because of any addressing scheme differences.
Interesting. I know no one who calls a CD a disk (... (show quote)

Let's put the CD vs Disk to rest. Someone on here said it best...."we all know what the OP meant".

I have had two 16 GB cards for my Canon when I bought it 6-7 years ago. Still working fine. However, a couple of caveats: my first Digital was a P&S Olympus that came with a 16 MB card (yeah, I know...ridiculous in light of today's technology). I bought, at that time, an Olympus xD 256 MB card and thought I was in seventh heaven. (Don't think you can get those xD cards anymore). It failed after a few years. Camera kept saying, "Format Card?" when I turned it on. could not work around it.

All the experts warn us that flash drives, AKA Thumb Drives, will eventually fail after enough write-to operations.

Lastly, surprised no one has stated the obvious: BACK UP your cards by off-loading periodically.

Guess you missed my post. :-)

This post got my interest because I thought the OP was talking about Kodak "Film Disks". I haven't seen them in about 50 years.

$hiddiyest product ever made by Kodak.

Anyone ever seen a 16x20 print from a disc negative? I have... The film grain was enlarged to 20 grit sandpaper quality.

Haha, that and 110. Wasn't 110 a skosh larger?
I only saw small prints from them.
Could never understand why Kodak did the photodisk.
