Normally, yes, but I stopped the forwarding because I thought we were going home on the 17th. So, if someone forwarded it it would just get re-forwarded back to NY.

Got it thanks. Good luck.

Odd point: the promulgators seem to want an immediate response, yet the questionnaire requires data from the future - April 1st. Do we wait, or just guess at the April first situation. What if we add or lose renters or visitors between now and then?

If you are not sure who will be living with you in a couple of weeks you better hold on to it.

Most folks have a pretty good idea.

Received mine about a week ago, filled it out on line, sent it in and received my receipt. Received another census form in the mail yesterday. Guess they want to check and see if my answers will match. We'll see.

I got my Census instructions in the mail today. I did it online in less than 5 minutes. Better than having a stranger knock on your door.

Door to door ops are conducted because someone DID NOT fill it out online, or over the phone, or by mail.

The NRFU (non-response follow up — the door-to-door operations) have been suspended until further notice. I just found out, an hour after my supervisor training yesterday.

I did it on-line a few days ago. Hope they don't waste the paper and postage to send a paper copy.
I had a problem at first. Got about a third of the way through form and it started over again. Was supposed to enter my Census ID but this time it said the number was invalid. Tried it a couple more times but still no go. Called the phone number on the form but the young(?) lady didn't know what was wrong. I had started the Census using the MS Edge browser so decided to try Chrome. The Census website liked that better and I was able to complete the form. Go figure.

BTW, I worked for the 2010 Census going around to people who didn't mail in the form. Some of those jerks could be real A**H***s.

Edge is still behind Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. It got so bad my wife gave up on it (she does some corporate web development).

I will wait for them to send me the questionnaire form instead exposing my personal information on line to let the scammer to steal, even on the government site. As the instruction said they will send the form after a few week with out my respond on line. For my safety, I wait!

The form asked for very little personal information: age, how many people living in home on April 1, whether owned with or without mortgage or rented. No questions about finances, etc.

Edge usually works better and faster than Firefox or Chrome although I don't use it very often. I think I need to clear out the crap on Firefox and Chrome but don't remember how to do that.

So whether, home is owned, mortgage, etc is not personal and has nothing to do with “finances”? Gee?? It certainly has nothing to do with the real function of the census question: How many United States Citizens live at that address?

They are not looking for a second response. The second letter says not to reply if you already filled out the form. The reason they send a second request within a week is because if they wait a month, that will end up extending response time. If they see that an address is not responding, soon you will get a live visit. Every break in the system extends finish time.

Did you notice that no numbers are involved?
