I got my Census instructions in the mail today. I did it online in less than 5 minutes. Better than having a stranger knock on your door.

Received mine earlier this week. If it only takes five minutes, I guess I should get to it.

Yes, piece of cake. No paper waste and no unwanted visits or scams.
As a statistician who has done a lot of survey/sampling work, I was impressed by the design of the online form.
How did you answer first question?

How can I do it online? I live in NY, but I’m trapped in our condo in Florida & can’t get my snail mail.

"Easy Peasy"
Like you, done in less than 5 minutes; and not invasive at all.
I did get a second notification in the mail on Monday (3/16/20). I guess it was a follow up. It had the same ID code as the first.

Can anyone forward your mail to you?
Dennis
Google came up with a phone number if you have a question. The mailed invitations have a code you need to type in.

Likewise, did mine online in a few minutes. Another plus; you can be sure the names are spelled correctly. I've been tracking my family down through the years on Ancestry.com and the spelling errors by census takers makes the job so much more difficult.
I will wait for them to send me the questionnaire form instead exposing my personal information on line to let the scammer to steal, even on the government site. As the instruction said they will send the form after a few week with out my respond on line. For my safety, I wait!

Normally, yes, but I stopped the forwarding because I thought we were going home on the 17th. So, if someone forwarded it it would just get re-forwarded back to NY.
Odd point: the promulgators seem to want an immediate response, yet the questionnaire requires data from the future - April 1st. Do we wait, or just guess at the April first situation. What if we add or lose renters or visitors between now and then?
