That is true and having lived in FL since 1987 I have been through more than my fair share of hurricanes, including Ivan which beat the ever loving SNOT out of Pensacola in 2004. My house had $60,000 worth of damage, not so much from the hurricane but from one of the over one hundred tornadoes that the storm spit out.

We had a very unseasonably warm winter this year, it is 88º here in Gainesville today and we are not even half way through March yet, so much for that "In like a lion and out like a lamb" thing. It is going to be "in like a pissed off lion and out like a REALLY pissed off Great White Shark". And that can only mean one thing. We are in for an unseasonably hot summer, which is really not all that big deal,if you have lived in the Sunshine State for any period of time, you are used to breaking into a sweat going to the mailbox, but it also means we are going to have an unusually active hurricane season. Both the Atlantic close to the mainland and Gulf of Mexico are a lot warmer right now than they normally are for this time of year. I anticipate more named storms earlier and more storms overall.

We survived Charlie, Francis, and Jean. Charlie clobbered the snot out of Central Florida! Not much left when the other two came through. All three in, what, five weeks? or less?

Statistically, probably. I wonder where the bell curve really lies.

If that happens then the SHTF, and more than likely lead to civil unrest. It's absolutely insane how much of a panic people are in.

When the SHTF it will be a huge pandemonium.

Better be prepared than sorry.

One might think there's a big snowstorm or a hurricane coming.

Your photos portray the same situation here in Houston. I've never seen such panic buying. 😢😢

Giant, a supermarket chain, announced that they will be closing from midnight to 6am as opposed to being open 24 hours. They said they will use those six hours for cleaning and restocking the shelves. I guess in areas where people are going nuts it's impossible to stock the shelves while open. Another store said they don't expect any issues near term in getting product.

Give me a break. How about leaving this political crap in the attic where you normally reside and leave this thread for the reason it was originally intended.

I wish it were meant that way, but if you look at the history of the poster, you’ll see. I will say this, and then I’m unwatching:

This is exactly what is wrong with America today. This devisive crap permeates everything, and it is so mean spirited. Here we are in a crisis when we all need to pull together, put politics aside and just work toward a common purpose and mutual well being and caring for each other, but instead, we have this partisan drivel. Everything has to be a contest with winners and losers rather than just what is right and just. We need to behave the way we did in WW2 - one country, one purpose, one direction, and forget this i’m completely right, and you’re completely wrong grade school mentality and grow up for God’s sake.

End of rant.
