I like these a lot. It looks like an area I'd enjoy wandering in.

Awesome set Mike...and it's always worth talking to some of the locals to find the best off the tourist paths spots!

Thanks, the sun was so intense and the shadow so great that I almost did not attempt the shot.

Excellent photos. Great lighting and framing. Was looking at going to Moab for the dirt riding but can tell the scenery is much better for photos. Mahalo for sharing.

I appreciate the kind remarks, JoAnne. Moab has it all, but it can be crowded. Try for a "low" season time.

Thanks, we enjoyed it, but the national parks (unlike the state parks) are very restrictive as to where Ted can wander.

You are correct, Sam, just to watch it play out was a treat.

Thanks, Cindy, you are correct. I did go to the parks also, but we have a "bucket" list for our next visit.

We took the dogs and spent three days last week in Moab. In seeking advice on where to go for photo ops, a wise old local asked if I wanted the standard iconic park shots or other shots that Moab provided. I opted for the latter and spent the next morning's sunrise on Route 128 north of Moab next to the Colorado River watching what the winter sun revealed.

Hi
can you tell me where the path is by the lake in picture 5 or 6? with the wooden bridge trail? thanx

There is a hiking/biking path next to the river for several miles. The highway is state 128.
