Look at the latest from Cotton Carrier...the Sling
Well, i hope my first attempt didn't actually post...
I have used a shoulder strap that I found on Ebay for at least 4 years. Search "Quick Black Camera Neck Strap Shoulder Belt Sling for DSLR Digital SLR" on Ebay. Mine was less than $8! Funny how the cheapest piece of gear in my kit is the one I use most. Best $8 I've spent!

I want to buy the camera sling that attaches to the thread mount on the bottom of the camera. You can carry it over the right shoulder and the camera hangs at the left hip. I can't find it online. Any help will be appreciated.
If you are interested, I have a Peak Design Sling Strap that is brand new never taken out of the original packaging that I would sell to you for $50.00 including shipping. If interested PM me........Mike

NO camera was ever engineered to suspend weight from the tripod socket - enough said ? !

Most of the quality straps (Black Rapid, Peak Design and Op-tech) give you the option of using the tripod mount to carry the camera. I have the Peak Design sling for my D7000 and the lite version for my Fuji X100F. I tried, at first, using the Slide mounted to the side and bottom of my D7000, and although I liked it I found the screw constantly working loose so I switched to the regular way of using the strap. I haven't looked back since.
If you have an Arca Swiss plate on your camera get a small clamp from RRS or Kirk and attach it to the Black Rapid strap. Very safe connection to the camera or lens and lets you quickly remove the strap so that you can put the camera on a tripod.
