Exactly. I also enjoyed basic just like you did and for the same reasons. I didn't look at basic as something terrible. I just looked at it as something I had to do before I could get into flight school. I found most of the fellows who had a tough time were ones who continually tried to buck the system so to speak. It took them some time to learn that didn't work in the Army.
I was asked by the drill sergeant what time it was.
I answered, Day time sergeant.
I spent the rest of the day doing pushups but laughed the whole time.
