And I respectfully disagree with you. Of all the oils you could choose such as Canola, Coconut is the worst. If you didn’t believe the last link I posted, would you believe the Mayo Clinic? https://www.mayoclinic.org/dont-get-tricked-by-these-3-heart-health-myths/art-20390070

Not trying to win an argument here, trying to keep others who read this from making a mistake that affects their heart. Once you have had the elephant sit on your chest and faced near death, you will pay great attention to the fat content of your food. I read every label of everything I eat for fat content.

There is no such thing as meatless chicken. It might be some kind of manufacture glop, probably full of some kind of chemicals to give it some taste, but it isn’t chicken. People who sell this--whatever it is--should be forced to tell the truth about their products. End of story.

OK, I’ll get off my soapbox now.

I totally agree - this is chemical enhanced "franken-meat" - no way in the world will I put that stuff in my mouth! (of course, I don't eat regular KFC either!)

Canola oil ( detoxified rapeseed oil) was only used as a lubricant for machinery until they found a way to detoxify it. Now it is found everywhere because it’s cheap not because it’s healthy. My wife becomes deathly ill when she gets some in her food. Now it is being investigated as a possible cause of stomach cancer.

I wasn’t recommending it (although I did phrase it that way), just merely stating that in terms of fat content, it is extremely low, while Coconut oil is probably the worst choice. I don’t fry anything (although I do miss fried chicken), but I do use olive oil. Never tried Canola. Your comment did cause me to look it up on Wiki (learn something new every day). Here’a An excerpt regarding safety:

“Although wild rapeseed oil contains significant amounts of erucic acid,[50] the cultivars used to produce commercial, food-grade canola oil were bred to contain less than 2% erucic acid,[51] an amount deemed not significant as a health risk. To date, no health effects have been associated with dietary consumption of erucic acid by humans; but tests of erucic acid metabolism in other species imply that higher levels may be detrimental.[52][53]:646–657 Canola oil produced using genetically modified plants has also not been shown to explicitly produce adverse effects.[54]

The erucic acid content in canola oil has been reduced over the years. In western Canada, a reduction occurred from the average content of 0.5% between 1987 and 1996[55] to a current content of 0.01% from 2008 to 2015.[46] Other reports also show a content lower than 0.1% in Australia[47] and Brazil.[48]

Canola oil poses no unusual health risks,[53]:646–657 and its consumption in food-grade forms is generally recognized as safe by the United States Food and Drug Administration.[33][51]”

I used canola oil in by oat bran muffins when it first came on the market, and could not understand why I had severe indigestion after I ate one! I never got indigestion from anything else I ate, so I stopped eating the oat bran muffins! Years later I started getting the same problem, but ignored it! It later made me rethink my problem when I noticed fried in canola oil! I suddenly realized almost every restaurant uses it in their fryers, so I started checking the ingredients of what I ate,And every time I ate something with canola oil in it I would spend the night with severe gastritis, it wasn’t fun. My trip to the gastroenterologist proved that I had a problem! It was ulcers caused by canola, as nothing else caused me any grief! I have now banned any canola from my diet, and would like it banned from all foods! I would like foods that use it to label that it is in the food in large letters to cut down my shopping time! Please!
