Last week we went to Black Point on Merritt Island. The birds were plentiful and it was a beautiful morning for photography - overcast and almost no wind. There were a lot of great egrets so I am focusing this first post on them!

Great indeed! Well done Carol, I'll bet you have more.

Thank you, Phil. It was one of those days with lots of birds and they werenโ€™t overly shy. I have a lot of good shots so it is hard to go through and only keep a few of them.

What a fun set that must have been. Merritt Island is a great spot to see all by itself but your Egret was a willing model and you had a greta day.

Thank you, Jim! There was very little wind so the water was mostly smooth which usually makes for great reflections!

Thank you, Blair. Before Iโ€™m through with the trip Iโ€™ll post a couple of shots that are more scenery than birds. It is a wonderful place!

I really enjoyed all your images Carol. The one which really caught my eye was the last one. I thought the color of the soft background and the sharp foreground made the white of the egret stand out more. Good composition and exposures for all. Bev

Thank you, Bev! I liked the way he has his neck in that one too. You can see it but isnโ€™t so long and skinny.
