To all that replied your welcome..hope all have a good week.....
Indeed ... seems to be pretty much a cover of Disturbed's cover
Totally different rendition of one of my very favorite songs. Definitely powerful. I think a tiny piece of me died when Simon & Garfunkel parted company. Thanks for sharing.
I thought it was great, as good as the SG version. Of course most people are going to say they liked the original better, that is not the point, did you listen to it objectively, the guy has a great voice and did a great rendition of the song.
Great post, great sound. Thanks.
Yep ! That's what my son showed me.
Of course I had to compare between TOC and the Disturbed version. IMO - the version by disturbed showed greater emotion but I found the TOC version a bit smoother on the ears. I did think the TOC version was a cheesy rip off of the Disturbed style, but performance wise it was outstanding on its own for the vocal quality.
I guess I can label each my co-favorites. lol
I appreciate you sharing one of the greatest tunes ever penned, by two groups of performers that did the writers and performers of the original, justice. Thank you.
I didn't like it. His voice is so rough and low that it didn't have any musical quality to it.

It’s a rip of Disturbed.

South African group called the Touch of Class remake of Simon & Garfunkel's Sounds of Silence, captivating to say the least very well done.....
sorry if this has been posted b4...
About 99% of the time I hear a song, it (IMO) is best done by the original artist. It is hard to beat Simon and Garfunkel for this song however I do like the version Disturbed did also. It is very similar to the one you posted but (again IMO) better. Two of my favorite covers that I think are as good or maybe even better were both done by UB40 -- Elvis' "Can't Help Falling In Love With You" and Neil Diamond's "Red, Red Wine"
