Thank you. I had not heard that before.
The visual effect is interesting, with the singer's face brightly illuminated on one side and dark on the other, both in contract with the background. And I enjoyed the rendition of the song.
I prefer the Simon and Garfunkel version. Sorry.
But that's usually what happens. When I hear a song that I like a lot by a certain performer then I don't care as much for the song by somebody else.
Thanks for posting this!
I love this song by Paul Simon. It is to his credit that others still record it, and speaks to the poetry and power of his words, as well as the tune.
Very well done & the words are as true today as when they were written. Perhaps more so, considering the current state of religion & politics in this country.
I am quite sure that my son has showed me this one.
As some said, I prefer S&G version. BUT... in some
parts, the guitar sounds wonderful, full of feeling.
Thanks for sharing.
Great, except after them I continued listening to some other groups and then three hours later I still hadn't gotten back on UHH, so I must finish up this morning. Thanks!
Good morning SR71 - In spite of listening to at least hundreds of thousands of tracks over the < 50 + years and having been a musician / band member for the same amount of time I really found this rendition refreshing & new in our current world of only absolutely bland "dance tracks" being broadcast / listened to. I know you could play any series of current "pop" tracks by any "artist" (?) and a millennial would not be able to differentiate the individual tracks. Sad.
This one is good. Thanks for the heads-up.
All the best to you and yours,
Terry
