Wow lots of great shots. I was looking up how to shoot lightning shots and though I don't see much lightning in my area, I was also thinking the same would apply since we must remember that our camera is a recorder of light. I love all the color and fullness from the shots that were taken with a long exposure on a tripod. It appears that getting good firework shots is about the same as getting good lightning shots and that is just open up the shutter and let the light paint the picture. LOL

Here are some shots I took last summer in Iowa

WOW! what a great group of fireworks photos. I love the colors and the brilliance.
Lets keep them coming. Any one else? Or any of you posters have additional fireworks photos to offer, can we see them? Please.
Here are a few more of mine.

Hey Terry~
Excellent images. Will you please post some of your settings on these? The ones I had taken with my Nikon P90 were in an automatic 'fireworks' mode. I haven't tried any fireworks or lightening yet with the new Nikon D3100 and would like some reference settings.
Here's one that I Photoshopped from the P90 that is a composite of four photos with color tweaks on a couple of the bursts. (I need to get a life. Laf'n.)
Multiple image fireworks
