I have Canon zoom lens that has developed lens creep. Any suggestions would be helpful. Has anyone used the product Lens Band? Thanks

I suggest Gaffers tape.

I use lens bands, generic name, free ones from vendors. They work.

Some camera have articles on lens creep under the title Zoom Creep. It is a result of the force of gravity. It would be logical to expect the effect to worsen with lens age as the lens threads wear.

Get real. A Lens Band sells for about 5 bucks. How much is way less? BTW any one who is concerned with spending $5, should get another thing to do, other than photography.

99 cents is 400 percent less than 5 dollars. Since I saved 4 dollars on a 5 dollar item think what I save on more costly items. Then I have money to buy a new lense and afford photography. Some people have more money than sense. I haul lease turn in vehicles. People always leave the pennies in the ashtrays or cup holders ect. I collect an average of 1200.00 per year in change from pennies and occasionally silver. So if I see a penny on the ground I pick it up. Never know if I pass free money by God my think I have plenty and not give me anymore. 😂

I had a sigma 18-250 lens that started to creep, went to the grocery store and bought some broccoli the rubber band fit wonderfully.

Considering you can get several for a bit more than $5, I'd say that's quite a real difference. BTW, nice attitude. Go get a life.

It is a shame that you can't post on here, without some asshole shooting his mouth off, and degrading people. Don't get me wrong, most people in here are very nice. It is to bad they can't just wallow in their own misery, silently.

I actually have used one of those rubbery wrist bands that you can buy most anywhere for a dollar or two. It seemed to work very well.

Lens Band works. I use those rubber wrist bands on some of my lenses, but they're small enough.

You don't state under what conditions it creeps.....
Around neck while carrying?
On a tripod angled down?

I have a Sigma that creeps, I just lock it if it is around my neck for normal carrying.
I've not used a lens band. Not sure how I would like it.
BUT the lens band seems like it would work well if the lens was angles down like for shooting on a tripod.

Or simply a wide rubber band, known in these parts as an "elastic."
